WTF? Even bad teams aren't this bad.
The System is so antiquated and predictable now. It's just sad. Also, and I've always said it, I hate this whole .... "they lead the league in not fouling". That works when you have athletes that can recover on D. Someone like Corey Brewer or anyone not on the spurs roster. If your coaches philosophy is that "we don't put people on the line" it's going to be very difficult to stop anyone. If we aren't going to exploit our greatest strength which is 3P%, we might as well go all the way to 90's basketball or at least grit and grind. Nobody fears our soft ass team. Teams have scouted us and the word is out to just shoot like no one was in front of you because they are nonathletic AND Pop don't let them get physical... so just shoot like it's a coach holding a broom in front. Easy money.
I'm just so frustrated with this squad and FO. We have nothing left it seems. White really is our best player if you ask me. That kid IS special and imagine him on a good Spurs team or another good team. Also, Rudy Gay, although one of the better Spurs seems to be aging by the game. Also, Metu sux. Now that one i don't get. He did have good mobility and good hands in SL but so far that dude is ultra-raw and a total project.
I hate tanking especially now that it's too late but damn!!! Just sad!!!!!

The way Pop has set it up, Bertans only shoots when he is open. Now that everybody knows that he's a good shooter, they never leave him open. Even worse, nobody tries to find him when he is open!
The team just plain sucks big time!!
The Spurs are 10-48 from three in the last two games.
That's 20.8%. Impossible to win on the road shooting that % from three.

Did you see where the Nets where shooting their 3's from, like 28 feet from the basket. They chucked 50 shots versus the Spurs 24. They were just playing the precentages and blew us out in the process!
That's why the Spurs don't shoot three's that often. You have to at least give the impression that you're good at something.

They’re the best 3pt shooting team in the league by 2%. Yes they’re picky on how much they shoot (only Clippers have shot less).

People on Twitter even saying Pop needs to retire.for his sake, I hope he does. He looks too stressed out and should honestly just step away and be with his family.

One thing that keeps sticking out like a sore thumb is the angry, arrogant, old fart, Pop never takes any of the blame himself even though it is him who determines the lineup, the subs utions, the minutes, who sits out the game, etc. And he has had some atrocious lineups in general. Pop and RC are the two who are responsible for who is in our lineup and how much they get paid. They seem to think giving an old, washed up guy like Gasol $16,000,000.00 per season instead of trying to get a decent 3 and D is the way to go. Or a legit Point Guard. At tonight's post game presser he was somewhat apologetic about how he acted like a spoiled brat last night in NYC. Maybe he received a call from back home. The way he treats reporters who are just doing their job and who probably make less in one year than Pop makes per game. If anyone needs a definition of an asshole just look it up online and you'll see a picture of a senile, old, angry Pop. You are out of touch, Pop. And you seriously need to get over yourself. You've allowed everything to go to your head. And when talking to reporters try to act older than a 5 year old even though that is where your personality is these days. In other words, Pop, grow the up!

The spurs played from behind double digits almost the whole game. They played their most inspired ball of the game up until the 2min mark of the second where they got it down to 40-36. The defense held strong and LA with the help of White pounded the ball inside. Then with 2min to go, white gets benched for Patty, they stopped going inside to LA and Spurs finish the half down 52to 38.
The point being its a game of runs and this Spurs team playing at its pace of inside out is at its best . The third was perfect example of what happens when the Spurs match opponents shooting threes. Game became a blowout of over 20. Defense at that frenetic pace takes a massive hit since the spurs are defensive challenged individually (too short or unathletic) , team d has no time to set up and they cant match it with shooting ability.
