How exactly is he inconsistent? The kids runs the point like a boss for no experience. I am telling you, Pop is either gonna wake up and build around White and Aldridge. Murray should be made into a Danny green role (defense and threes) or developed into a shooting guard. I am on Team White and have been. I see a lot of potential in him.
Totally agree about White. He always seems to be under control and play his best at the critical time. Sure, he makes mistakes and hesitates sometimes but that will improve as gets more experience. I like DJ a lot too and think he has a great at ude. Was liking his offensive progression in the preseason albeit that's a very short sample size before he went down.

gread defense 93 points only... but dont like turnovers...
Poeltl playing more minutes, blocking, protecting the rim. White’s perimeter defense. This is early season Spurs basketball. It took 50 something games to make that 360. Spurs need to build from this win. Maybe Eubanks run with the 2nd unit instead of slow Gasol.

    He averages 9.5 PPG, lol.

I think first we have to see what we have in Murray next year. I think going into this year he looked like a star in the making, but an injury putting you out a season can put a halt on things for a while and we don't know how he'd play next to White when they're on the court together. I do agree with you for the most part, but with DeRozan in there maybe we'd be better off with Murray in the game playing off ball and DeRozan being the main ball handler. That's what we were supposed to get at the start of the year and it might have made sense idk. White could play the 6th man role (might not be ideal but idk.) It'd be great if Murray could be developed into a shooting guard but right now the main problem is he can't shoot.

OKC and Denver up next. Would love for Denver especially to get that game so we can put to rest the "Spurs will challenge Denver" theory.

Padre is still my dude. But he's on something today. I think it's cause FkLA made him look stupid in his Forbes thread cause now he's just talking nonsense.

He struggles to reach double digit scoring in a league full of guards with heavy firepower. He's solid but Murray is more gifted and he was showing progress on his shooting before going down. They have to start Murray next season as our PG with White taking on the Manu super sub role.
I looked that up. In fact Murray only broke 20 (2) times in 119 games. White (3) times in 64 games. White broke dbl digits 25 of those 64 games. Murray broke dbl digits 36 out 119 games.

White is a rookie with a good offensive game and a high IQ for the point. He will need some offense development but that normal for most rookies. Not very many rookies are super stars their first years. He will developed into a really good guard if he puts in the work over the summer.

What? I brought up stats to prove Forbes sucks and FkLA was moving goal posts to keep apologizing for him. Bizarro world in this forum...

With Murray though, it's clear he's more athletic and has better offensive potential than White. Murray must start next season while White needs to be our super sub. That's my take and I don't think that's an unreasonable take.

Horrible argument to use and you know it. By that definition, Forbes is a competent starter since he averages over 10 points a game. Never mind that White has to share the floor with LMA, DDR, Gay and Forbes who you always claim takes way more shots than he should. Just look at his stats when the team was actually peaking and winning. But nope let's just base it on total PPG.

This White criticism just stems from the fact that people compared him to Manu and you always lose your line of reasoning when people make comparisons to Manu like it's a sin.

couldn't agree more . anyone saying Dejounte has the same abiity doesn't understand the game. if White wasn't injured to begin the season and if not for his last injury his scoring would be consistent

I just need to see more consistency from White on offense. And yes, you're right, Forbes takes shots away from him so hopefully, this injury gives White more opportunities. But this talk of him being starter over Murray next season is just caught up in the moment.

ya I know but have seen this moment posted many times. Yes they played the same posi but they don't compare on skillsets. One has the tools and the other is still learning to pass, dribble, shoot and run a team.

    its no comparison lol

I'm not a Mills fan and am not happy with his contract but I can't deny the leadership he provides to a team post Big 3

and Kawhi before his sex change operation.

This thought that Murray couldn’t dribble is stupid.. tired of people saying that.. he has a ton of moves and everything. Most of his turnovers started coming from poor passing decisions and not dribbling. And I’m sure that can be shored up with a little more experience.

Note: And he will be able to run the team. He has the alpha mentality and also near the end of the season he was doing a pretty good job of setting guys up and balancing touches.

We aint talking about the future or potential. We on about right now and whatwe saw from Dj last season. One guy has the required standard to run the show. Dj might get there with his dribble or shot but he wont ever run the team as good as white. Pg instincts dont just naturally come to you no matter how many times you train.

Love that quote from pop. 2nd most important player on the team. Reckon it was clear msg to Demar and DJ for next season - if there was any doubt. Whites the future at point.
