I think its a very good win. Played pretty well in crunch time.
Patty could have stolen the inbound pass, but preferred to foul a guy going in for a layup that won't matter.

Looked like Stots said to Pop "I think he's gonna be ok" but idk
Great Win For Us![]()
Awesome win!! I was in attendance and the atmosphere was great![]()
Holy if McCollum is hurt bad and OKC continues to lose (plus Chimpbrook may get a suspension for his latest tech), and Spurs continue to win, they could get HCA in the first (4th).
But we get GS in the 2nd round.
They just showed the Spurs bench outscored the Blazers bench 43-22. Of course, that means their starters outscored ours 81-65. Great bench performance tonight.
Holding the Blazers to 103 is a good defensive performance.
And the Spurs only commit 10 turnovers. Taking better care of the ball is one of the big improvements since the early part of the season.
Just hope mccollum is ok
this spurs team is back on track
Why wasn't Poertl in to close the game. Better defender than Gay for sure. I guess Pop was looking for an outside ballhandler.
I think yall are overreacting calling this a good win. Their 2nd best scorer went down with over a quarter left n we were still scratching n clawing this one out. That's only reason their score was low...not our defense.
The Spurs should NOT want any part of that side of the bracket. If they stay in in the 3,6,7 (spots), they will be much better off. GS is going to kill everyone again.
Spurs need all the breaks they can get. They really are not that good and not a real le contender. Playing injured teams or teams on back to backs at home has inflated their home record. All season that has played into them having one of the top records at home.
The Spurs have led the league all year in this category. Through the first 15 games or so they were on pace to set the all time record. And the Spurs only commit 10 turnovers. Taking better care of the ball is one of the big improvements since the early part of the season.
Exactly. The Spurs still can't make stops when they need them & they are still putrid on defense. It's not going to change at this late juncture in the season. It's all fools gold - just like this win streak. Their best defense is offense - which we all know is not a solid formula to win in the playoffs. You don't trade baskets with Golden State, Portland or Houston because they're better at scoring than we are. The numbers will catch up eventually.
It looks pretty certain the Spurs will make the playoffs but they will need fortunate matchups to go further than one round.
You're right; no other team plays against injured teams or teams on a back-to-back.
This wasn't scratching and clawing. They won by multiple possessions, minus a meaningless last shot.
I'll take the win, but it wasn't their best game. Aldridge was trash. The Trailblazers were missing their second best player and were on the second of a back to back. All that said I'm happy with the W.
Of course it happens for other teams but the Spurs have been very fortunate this year in their matchups at home. Their home record is way over inflated as a result of a favorable home matchup schedule as compard to their road record. No other team has such disparity in Home/Road records. The problem is in the playoffs the favorable home schedule, catching a team on a back to back while you rest at home, doesn't come into play.
That is an excellent comparison
