He was good at attacking the basket and looked like he could maybe hit a couple of threes at 36% eventually.
But hey, it's not just a Keldon thing. NONE, ZIPPO, ZERO of our players play optimized roles on the court. They are all out there just winging it, moving at 65% speed the whole game, regardless of the situation, and not doing , besides Murray I guess. We have a good young 3 point shooter that we aren't actively trying to use. Keldon is passing up open shots constantly, even though hitting those would open up what he wants to do, i.e. attack the rim. Derrick White is just neurotic and bipolar even though we have seen him do everything we would ever want him to do before. Lonnie is the most athletic but is the most afraid to play with aggression and we haven't simply made him a spot-up shooter either because we haven't designed or fitted roles for any player on this team.
Jak is a great defensive player, but we decided to run offense through him, even though that would never be there when it matters and we should be teaching one of the myriad of 2-guards to handle scoring. Eubanks' role is defined sort of, but we depend on him more than we should, so it's defined incorrectly.
I guess Doug's role, shoot threes off screens, is defined, but he isn't super adept at it.
So out of like 12 guys, we have 2 or 3 that kind of do what they are naturally geared towards doing. That's a failure of coaching and players just not learning from game to game.
Besides Keldon, nobody in this team wants to attack the rim, too scared to get hit.
Again I like that little postup that Keldon showed there, and then passed to an open player. That’s a welcome change.

Pop rotations have always been
I think we had this with Poeltl in the lineup. I think him and Zollins would really make a difference. Drew will only be good with spot up minutes. Anything more he’ll fizzle. I don’t know the situation for Thad, but I also rather see Landale in there and what he can bring. I think Poeltl should be available against TWolves.
