Collins was clearly a great signing. Not sure what team his future is on, but he has a nice future in this league.

I was a fan of the signing from day 1. Hope he sticks beyond this year, but if there are other plans, he and Graham could end up being next years versions of Jakob and Josh at the deadline.

Yup, his youth and potential, and the terms of his contract (3 years, about 2 of which were non guaranteed) meant there was about zero risk and a nice potential reward down the line. Smart move from day 1, even if it hadn't gone as well as it did.

Zollins sucks and always has. I know Atl is on his high horse because he believed in Primo while most of us didn’t. But tbh the spurs could sign udonis Haslem tomorrow and Atl will start making claims that Haslem is the best PF we have since Timmy. Ima let Atl be the homer he is though. We desperately need some depth
    Hi! Shall we start?

Still waiting to see how Zollins is supposedly the next best big ever on the team other than Duncan and DRob. But what should I expect from someone who’s probably on the same spectrum as Kawhi mentally?
    Classic clownery🤡

Signing Laurie would’ve Spurs on play-in tbh. He doesn’t fit on Spurs rebuilding timeline.

Agree. It’s the type of move I’m hoping the Spurs are in a position to and looking for in about 3 years.

Just because one player proved me wrong (Zollins is still not as good as Duncan/DRob like you claimed), doesn’t mean . No one takes the loss as much as you defending Primo like you did, I wouldn’t be surprised if the news of him being a flasher turned you on when you heard it.

We have no proof Primo wouldn't have been a good player. Him being a flasher doesn't impact his game.

We have no proof Primo wouldn't have been a good player. ...

At the time he left, Primo had more turnovers (11) than he had made buckets (9) this season, and his PER was 6.2 (league average is 15.) Not that that proves anything, but it doesn’t sparkle.

Collins has decent stats at this time, btw.

Collins is playing well as replacement for Poertl so far. He isn't putting up eye-popping numbers, but seems to be improving with his increased minutes. Decent rebounder and defense, pretty good passer, and scoring ppg is going up. I particularly like the way he scraps and fights within the paint.

So, all this being said, should we keep him for a backup if a miracle happens and we can draft Wemby? I doubt Bassey is ready to step up to #2 just yet, but Collins is very tradeable with that contract, age 25, and higher ceiling in sight. He might bring us some one that could fill a position like PG or SF better than what we have now. Would appreciate comments by some of the trading gurus on whether we should look to trade him under this cir stance.

I think that was in art Primo getting exposed as not being a true point guard
