Chickens have come home to roost

Three minority advocacy groups are suing Harvard University’s governing body, accusing the school of discrimination by giving preferential treatment to children of wealthy donors and alumni, and are citing the recent US Supreme Court ruling that gutted affirmative action to bolster their lawsuit.

The lawsuit, filed by the Lawyers for Civil Rights group on behalf of the Chica Project, the African Community Economic Development of New England, and the Greater Boston Latino Network, alleges the students who receive that preferential treatment are “overwhelmingly White,” and make up as much as 15% of admitted students.

“This preferential treatment has nothing to do with an applicant’s merit. Instead, it is an unfair and unearned benefit that is conferred solely based on the family that the applicant is born into,” Lawyers for Civil Rights said in a news release. “This custom, pattern, and practice is exclusionary and discriminatory. It severely disadvantages and harms applicants of color.”

That's fine. Atleast legacies have a part in the success the school is today. "They helped build it" but again I agree do away with it too.
Yes they have success giving $ to the school.
So their kids get accepted because they give money to a school.

Yeah. No preferences here. Its all based on merit. And merit is your parents give money to the school. They are responsible for the success of the school.
    Holy ...

And even if they give zero $ to the school and the parents just stand out as a shining example of what the school can produce, does this mean the children get a merit badge to allow them to get accepted.

Its hypocrisy. The SC and everyone in the country sees it. But if you are the red team you bathe in hypocrisy so it does not matter.

Imagine being enslaved for 300 years, legally discriminated for 350 years, and culturally discriminated by bags such as yourself to this very day.

The top countries for H1B visa holders in the US are India, China, Canada, South Korea, Philippines, UK, Taiwan, Mexico, France, and Pakistan.

    The occupation requires:
Theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge; and

Attainment of a bachelor's or higher degree in the specific specialty (or its equivalent) as a minimum for entry into the occupation in the United States.

The position must also meet one of the following criteria to qualify as a specialty occupation:

Bachelor’s or higher degree or its equivalent is normally the minimum entry requirement for the particular position
The degree requirement is common to the industry in parallel positions among similar organizations or, in the alternative, the job is so complex or unique that it can be performed only by an individual with a degree
The employer normally requires a degree or its equivalent for the position
The nature of the specific duties is so specialized and complex that the knowledge required to perform the duties is usually associated with the attainment of a bachelor’s or higher degree.*

Ah we were off the map for 123 years. Fought for our Independence and then were double teamed abducted for another 50 years.

Booming Nation & People today. No excuses.

Edit: Have to help your own, no one else will. But can't do it in a vindictive way. Blacks in America love to use the term AA but they don't connect or even like those people. There needs to be a root or foundation to be proud of. Black-Americans lack that in part because Africa still continues to struggle. Polaks born in America look proudly at their heritage today.

Uhh no we don't like the term AA. We have no relationship with Africa. We are foundational Black Americans. My ancestors built this country, fought and died for the rights that immigrants like you come here for. You're welcome. Immigrants like you who flee their war torn, poverty stricken countries are always telling us what we need to do.

If I got one thing against the black chappies, it's this - no one gives it to you. You have to take it. When you decide to be something, you can be it.

step one: Asian students sue Ivy League colleges to undo race-based admissions.

step two: win at Supreme Court

step three: admissions of Asian students decreases at Ivy League schools

step four: Asian students prepare to sue

looks like it wasn't affirmative action holding them back, it was just racism.

now that the legal barrier to that has been removed, Asian admissions went down.
