Man, what is Timvp doing. It's so frustrating waiting for it to load up. I'm also going to say that I am sure most of us can chip in $10-$20 dollars (money is a bit tight for me right now as I have a lot of upcoming expenses, but I'll still chip in what I can) if needed to help with the necessary upgrades.
Its kinda weird in that the site runs ok when on a computer but runs like on my phone.
It always ran like on mobile devices, at least for me.

It hasn't always been this bad on my phone though but its really, really slow the last week or so now. Wonder if its any better with a different browser? Iv just been using chrome on my android. Maybe ill download another and give it a try?

Pretty sure he's done with the site. He usually has 3 big boards out by now as well as draftee breakdowns or trade ideas. He either has stuff going on with life or doesn't give a squirt of piss about the site anymore.
I know there are people who have expressed an interest in buying it off him and Kori. They may have Danny Ainge-like demands though.
I wonder what is likely going on. Is his health OK? If it's not a health thing, then why doesn't he sell, or at least get someone to run this place. Isn't there enough traffic here with the Spurs on the rise to keep this place going?
If he can't do any of that, why not sell it to someone who can. Maybe he's after a big offer, which is fine, but at least get this place running properly.
I don't know if it was a rumor or a joke at the time, but didn't Mark Cuban try to buy this place back in the day (early 2000s?)?

You can get a good forum hosting package for a couple hundred a year, there's no way google ads don't cover for that amount considering the number of just guests spurstalk gets, let alone active users.
Yeah it’s just hard to imagine it costs that much money to have a halfway decent forum in 2025. Even if there is no revenue whatsoever, this board clearly has a community willing to prop it up. Multiple people have offered to chip in money to help out.
Going to be embarrassing if Spurs return to contending and we can’t even discuss playoff games because it takes 10 minutes to get a post to go through
Adding my name to the long list of users who will gladly toss a couple of dollars at this. Shirley someone could set this up on a hosted site such that it could self-sustain on the ad revenue alone, and maybe pocket a few extra dollars along the way for the effort.

I know some folks/groups have tried to buy it in the past, from something he mentioned years ago, but he never did. But now in the days of discord's hilariously ty layout and reddit's thin skin, that's still the thing to do as they don't pay for servers. Not like the server this site runs on is worth a .

He doesn’t care and that is that. The community here has to decide whether it’s moving on or not. It’s going to take effort and collaboration, so nothing will probably happen. Folks here are willing to tough out if it means they can stick with something nostalgic tbh

I haven't really used Discord much. I assume that has a pretty big user base these days? And when you say "reddit's thin skin" are you talking about the users there are sensitive, or are you referring to the layout? I've sort of started going to reddit a little bit these past few years (mostly for stuff other than sport, though).
