I'm starting to hate it when he hits a couple of early threes since he thinks he's Steph Curry the rest of the ing game.

He's just come off a year putting up All-Star numbers night in night out only to face "yeah but is he a winner?" questions all offseason through no fault of his own because the roster around him is so abysmal.


He returns from the Olympics to see nobody was traded. Nobody was cut. Nobody was sent down to the G-League. They're all still out there looking him off and bricking shots on a nightly basis like always.


Why should Wemby put his body on the line - taking cheap shots while battling other seven-footers in the paint for 82 games - when the rest of the roster are gonna find ways to lose the game most nights anyway? I think any of us would be furious and soon develop a " this" at ude after a while.

Just us as fans feel infuriated watching this team play, you can only imagine how Wemby might feel watching the same things in front of his own eyes and seeing how nonchalant the FO seems to be about it.

Spurs going to end up winning this game by 20 and the horror show we saw in the first half will just be swept under the rug by the Sniff Crew, the Sniff Media, and the team.

So one of the things the Spurs are trying this year is to have Wemby squat as he sets screens. That makes sense from a leverage standpoint, as it's much easier for him to hold position if he drops his center of gravity. It does look like he's putting his hands on the defender more than you'd think the refs would allow. It's going to be interesting to see if they call illegal screens on his positioning as well. I think there's a rule about how wide a players feet can be set, and some of Victor's attempts are pretty wide to make room for his dropped hips. I'm curious about this development, because there's definitely potential there for Wemby to improve beyond just gaining weight. Combine that with Sean for once being willing to criticize Victor's decision-making without suggesting it's another player's fault, and maybe we'll see even more progress.
