honestly this franchise is not any better than the Kings or Hornets. They just viewed that way because of past accomplishments
We could've easily had Markkanen for those 3 Hawks FRPs, but front office masterminds were on the same level as casual fans thinking we'll get a top5 pick from a team with no incentive to tank.
It doesn't have to be a trade for an all-star, we can use ANY help. Literally any.
We all knew Collins and Keldon are horrible, they eat $35M of cap space and they made no efforts to move them.

Remove Wemby and let's say Sarr (or Valanciunas) from the Wizards and they easily beat these Spurs.

I think it's a combination of schemes and low IQ. In the 4th Q, ROzier hit a 3 because Vassell left him open. Barnes left Jacquez open for 3 because he tried to help Castle. In both instances, Vassell and Barnes didnt need to help. Even the 3s of Jovic, he was left open because his man tried to help in the paint.
We continue to run the same defensive scheme that emphasizes protecting the paint. Problem is every team in the league runs their offense to free up their three point shooters.
But that's what you get with a narcissistic geriatric egomaniac running the team with an iron fist and a local media afraid to ask him or the organization any hard questions for fear of getting black balled.

Agree with this. We're protecting the paint as if today is Tim Duncan era where threes are not yet part of a team's key to winning. Even our players/coaches do not yet view threes as part of an effective strategy
castle has shown some of the worst defending we've seen on this team since marco belinelli.. and i don't name beli's tiness in vain... one sequence in the second quarter made my head explode

I was just wondering what happened to you and your awful Castle takes.
He was face guarding Herro in the first half, Herro had 3 points and 1 assist.
Second half was a disaster by everyone, but let's just blame Castle because that's your re ed gimmick.
