Even if you hate Doncic they could have done far far better than Davis and a crap first.

I don't hate Doncic, he's one of the 3 biggest talents of the league.

One would think as a Spurs fan you'd know that talent isn't the only criteria necessary to win.

Luka isn't the same guy he was in europe or his first seasons in the league, he's acting very cynically, focusing on his individual production rather than the team's interest.

At some point Dallas, who can see him on a daily basis for years, probably realized he wasn't gonna change = He's not gonna start defending/being generous and his physical condition can only deteriorate.

Had they waited too long, they'd been trapped to either pay him the super max or having too little leverage and time to get a better offer.

They got AD!!!! They're better with him than with Luka now, more balanced and better defensively.

Lakers are actually kinda ed for a couple of years with Lebron also. They can't open up cap space so they only way to add players is going to be through trades and Reaves is probably their best chip. With the current team makeup trading Reaves wouldn't be the worst idea for them though. Playing him with Luka and Lebron seems redundant AF and really makes it impossible for them to get a stop - especially with no center. I think they either trade Reaves or Lebron tbh.
