Judge Immergut called bull on Trump's evidence for public disorder, federal troops have been barred from deployment in Oregon
Meh, Trump has a pretty good record of getting activist judges reversed on appeal so, we'll see.

In Chicago, the immigration sweeps are the emergency tending to cause public disorder; Judge Perry has barred deployment of federalized troops in Illinois for the time being
Seems these "emergencies" only occur in Democrat-controlled cities. I've never heard of legitimate law enforcement efforts being classified as an emergency.

Meal Team Six and California National Guard troop are pulling up stakes in Illinois and Oregon

The 200 federalized California National Guard members sent to Portland, Oregon, and another 200 federalized Texas National Guard members sent to Chicago will return to their home states, according to two U.S. officials.

The federalized Guard troops arrived to the Naval Station Great Lakes in North Chicago in early October, but they never deployed operationally because of legal challenges that continue playing out in court.
not sure whether this will moot the legal challenges to deployment, but it would make sense to avoid final rulings on such weak cases

California will maintain a ready force of 100 Guard members and Texas will maintain a force of 200 members who have all volunteered for the mission, according to one of the officials.

the judiciary is a co-equal sovereign in the US cons utional scheme
Before you canonize these federal district judges, remember what the Cons ution actually says in Article III, Section 1: "The judicial Power… shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish."

In other words, the ONLY court the Cons ution requires is the Supreme Court. Every district court — and every judge on them — exists solely because Congress decided to create them. They’re not co-equal with the Supreme Court, they’re inferior courts, literally by cons utional design. That’s why hundreds of their injunctions get reversed on appeal: they’re not the final word, and they were never meant to be.”

none of that means, or has ever meant, that the president can ignore a court order because he thinks the appeal will be successful

The president swears to uphold the law and the cons ution

That means he can't defy a court order

It also means he can't lie to the court

Trump is wildly afoul on both these counts
