Refs had nothing to do with this.
    The refs??

    No way!!!

Of course they had no say in this game, none at all...absolutely not their fault. The Mav's average 50 trips to the stripe anyway, so it clearly is 100% the Spurs fault.

This is the most disgraceful game I've seen in 30 years of watching basketball.
I thought game 2 was worse.

absolute horse performance from the Spurs.

The Mavs haven't complained about calls this whole series.
    Why would they?

I'll give you about four days to think about this and come up with the answer.

It's funny. If you watch the Mavs during the game, it's as though Avery has told them to keep quiet after each call. As for the Spurs, the whining during the game is ri- ing-diculous.
They've always whined during the game and now Duncan is saying some crap during the post-game? I thought the Spurs were above that kind of thing. It was bad when AJ talked about some silly *bear-hug* defense during the post-game but it's alright for Timmy. I understand though, Timmy had a monstrous game and they still lost. Keep talkin' Timmy, there's always your wife who might listen.

In game 2, as bad as the officials were, the Spurs clearly need look no further than the mirror to find why they lost the game. The game 2 loss falls squarely on the shoulders of every Spur not named Tim Duncan.

In game 3, we encounter a different situation. Tim Duncan got a lame call for his sixth foul removing our best player from the team. His presence at the defensive end could bring a needed stop. His presence at the offensive end gives order to our offense which revolves around him. Plays run better when he is in the game.

It is not too much to say that if he is in the game, we probably win this game and we lost because he was called for a nonexistent 6th foul. This is not to even mention the horrible discrepancy at the free throw line in general, especially considering that the Spurs score at least as many points in the paint as the Mavs. Since the refs wrongly caused him to remove him from the game and with him in the game we would have won the game, it is logical to conclude that the refs caused us to lose this game.
Bad calls are a part of the game.
You have to take the game out of the refs hands.
Simple fact is that if Manu doesn't turn it over in the clutch, Spurs win.

    i dont about game 2

but game 3, 50 - 32, its utterly ridiculous. its not fun to watch a game in which your team wins against the other team, but loses to officiating.

statistics don't mean in this situation, when the Spurs were fouled, they were clearly fouled.

I can't say the same about the Mavs.

In close games Refs really do have an impact ...if this were a blowout..then maybe not....but it was pretty ugly..Ticky-tack bull . In SpursKings series, comparably, that was better.. JUST LET US PLAY THE GODDAMN GAME. How many fouls did Duncan just brush Dirk, barely touched him? Ginobili's phantom call? Ticky-tack crap. It was horrible in the beginning. It was horrible at the end.

I understand where you are coming from, but give it a rest. You constantly about officiating.

Had your team made more of its 32 freethrows, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Who gives a . The Mavs + Refs are still worse than the Pistons, so if we can't beat these 8 guys we won't be able to beat Detroit either.

Spurs will get it done though.

Right, because the Spurs would never lose a game if the refs were on the up and up...

I got the games recorded. I can replay it and see the bs calls.
It's obvious. Just because the Spurs are human and can lose games doesnt excuse bogus officiating.

After this seeing those Mavs get eliminated will almost be as good as a championship, even if it's not at our hands...
    I would have to agree.

Not saying that you complained during the Kings/Spurs series, but this same officiating bias was still going on. When the Kings took it to the hoop all night and shot more freethrows, it was a conspiracy against the Spurs. It seems like a lot of people here think the league is out to get the Spurs, and that is complete bull .

Were there questionable calls tonight............sure. And I saw them go both ways. With 1:25 left in the fourth, Manu was clearly blocked cleanly from behind, what happened? Manu goes to the line. That was a momentum changer there, after that, I surely thought the Spurs would win.
