That's ok, small ball may not work against the Suns, but Mavs seem to do just fine with it against the Spurs.![]()
NO YOU WILL NOT. The Suns and Mavs won't ever play each other. Get it through your head already.[/QUOTE]

I was purposely exaggerating.
Eh, I don't necessarily mean the Mavs will be playing the Suns in the playoffs. You never know. I much enjoyed the Spurs series last year, I'd hope to see some great basketball like that again.
I don't think Phx-SA will be the only compelling 2nd round series. If Hou can ever get Yao and T-Mac healthy, they'll be a tough out for Dal.
I think shooting 46% is not that great, so give credit where credit is due. The Suns actually played defense today. I also think Dallas tried to play defense in this game so I would not say that they did not try to slow us down. Dallas looked like they were playing hard the whole game. I have watched them play quite often this year since I have NBA League Pass and they looked intense in this game. I think the Suns attacked your weak link, which is Dirk. He cannot play defense any better than Nash. Didn't look like Harris was the great defensive stopper he has been hyped up to be today either since Nash scored 23.
yup, hopefully they'll get roughed up by the physical jazz and go 6 games in the first round. we could potentially have another 7 game rockets/mavs series like two years ago
Ok, I'll give you that.. The Mavs do have more bandwagon fans..

Since when is 46% a really low percentage? When you compare it to 65%, yea. But in general, 46% isn't super low. When you hold someone to 38%, then you'll probably get some 'credit where it's due' for the defense.
I don't think the second round for Dallas will be easy either. Houston or Utah (I think it'll be Houston) will be tough.
These two teams are evenly matched.. 12-12 over the last 24. If they meet in the WCF's i'd expect nohting less that 7gms

That figure is a little inflated since our bench blew some defensive assignments towards the end. I did not say it was really low, just not great.
ummm, you know that mid-40% is the average for the ALL thirty teams in the nba, right? even the suns don't top 50% for the season in field goal percentage averages and they are on top of the stack at 49% for the season. so if that's their average i'd say our defense sucked ass in allowing them to shoot over 60% today, whereas dallas shot right around their average, which is 46%.
dallas did play hard most of the game, but that doesn't mean they controlled the tempo at all, because they didn't. mavs fell into the running game with the suns and they got burned. we didn't slow it down when we had several opps to do so and we played ty defense, which all equates to a win. you want me to give the suns credit? i'll give them credit. they have one of a scoring team and nash makes some amazing shots like the three pointer with hardly any time left on the clock.
Wow, you are really the definition of an L&A.
you mean like when the mavs bench guys were out on the floor? c'mon man, you can' thave it both ways.
Kevin Willis will destroy the suns interior D
Yes, but there were Mav fans earlier in the year saying holding a team to 45% shooting was great. I don't think your defense sucked that badly, you had hands in the face most of the time. I think Dirk played badly though. Have to give credit to the Suns for actually playing defense and rebounding today. I think our team gets up for the Mavs more than any other team because of the Nash and Cuban thing.
Mavs suck horse balls.
Mavs trolls are full of hore .
Your bench is supposed to be the deeper bench, correct?
I'm not concerned with what Mavs fans are saying. It's all about the stats, something many Mavs AND Suns fans fail to consider when breaking down a game. Once again, you failed to address the stats I posted, not my problem. And yes, Dirk didn't have the best game, but when he doesn't, other guys step up...see Stack.
Just looked up Dirk's numbers. He had a poor shooting game at 6-18 but he still had some points, 21 with 9-9 ft shooting and 6 assists, 6 rebounds. Not great but not terrible, especially when you consider that Stack and Jho picked up the slack with the scoring.
No intelligent basketball fan says that holding a team to 45% shooting is great defense. So saying that the Suns deserve credit because some ignorant ass fans used to say that holding a team to 45% was great just doesn't make sense.
Your team played well. You deserved to win. You deserve credit for that. But it's not like your defense was stellar.
How old are you Nashfan?
I do not like this loss by dallas
aj now has the team's attention this loss could be what the doctor ordered
jesus christ, do you just regurgitate everything you hear and take it for gospel? you think jj barea, maurice ager, pop mensah-bonsu and austin croshere cons ute a deep bench? the reason people think we have a deep bench is because we have two decent centers and we have stack, who can score points as needed. we have devean and buckner for defense but that's about it when it comes to the guys on the bench who are *useful* for much. you should learn to analyze and break down teams/games on your own and stop relying on what others say about teams...it's not always right.
is nashfan the spursdynasty of suns fans?
Ponky for president!
Although I do think we have a pretty good bench, even if I'm not a huge Stackhouse supporter.![]()

don't forget the amarelooms of mavs fans...although, amarelooms must be out celebrating this win of his alter ego's team
