From being thrilled after the win against Utah, Pop should be rightfully slamming stuff around the locker room after this effort. Absolutely no excuse for this lost.
    As predicted by Efrem Nostradamus:

The Pacers made 20 of 22 free throws while the Spurs made 22 of 33, one reason San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich was in a foul mood after the game. The Spurs are trying to catch Phoenix for the No. 2 seed in the West, and Phoenix had beaten Dallas earlier in the day.

"From our point of view, I thought it was a pathetic performance for a team that's trying to prepare to go into the playoffs," he said. "In the fourth quarter, I thought we played embarrassing basketball. It was a very disappointing loss. A pathetic, pathetic performance."

i guess there's no better time to say that chip engelland should work with manu on his free throws... I know the team probably never saw it as a necessity but it's been a long time since I've really been confident in manu's free throws (or any of the spurs for that matter, I guess). Manu's been solid from the line overall in his career but the past couple season, in clutch situations, I feel it's been shaky? I dunno, maybe it's just me being nervous in those situations...

I've always wanted manu to get some coaching with that with engelland ever since he was added to the coaching staff... but for some reason, i doubt he will get it (the staff won't even consider it I don't think)...

Missing free throws in the clutch isn't something a coach can help you with, and it certainly has nothing to do with your form.

    what, we lost again?

I'm a believer of this team. I never started a thread of who I want to get traded. I always treated each loss as "okay next time we get our revenge".

    but tonight ???

    I'm shocked. if not, devastated.

a loss to Houston w/ no Yao, Lakers w/ no Odom, Utah w/ no Boozer, and now to Indiana w/ no J.O'Neal. I'm sorry guys, but this is becoming unacceptable. The Spurs team incl the Coach is simply playing against a depleted team(again), unprepared or too confident. I'll continue & always believe that this team is better than what they showed us tonight. But that's the way I look at it.

    Yeah, I'm with you.

I was EXPECTING them to automatically win this game. And I log in and this??

    What are they doing?

The nice game today, with the Suns showing up and really competing and sporting proudly their number 2 seed knowing the wins this week are a difference ins seeds . And they perform their best. Spurs can't even show up to put away one of the weakest teams in the league??

No excuse for this loss, when they didn't need to lose.

exactly. No excuse because this team is better even with Jermaine O'Neal playing .

the ONLY good thing happened for me today is i didn't bet in the vBookie. I missed the deadline. If i had, I'm almost bankrupt right now because i wanted to bet 3/4 of my remaining funds for 8pt above win.

It used to be when the Spurs were being criticized for their age, i was caught thinking..please draft, come....potentially 4 picks to inject some youth into this damn team. Later on i realized they would probaly be moved to Europe to be buried into the depth charts....now I dont know what to think...first Howard, now this....from what I heard about the Orlando game, Dwight dunked over Tim to leave the clock at .02. damn I thought, if our best player cant stop the East's best C from scoring with less than 3 seconds left, what good is the rest of this team? I know Tim is older than Dwight and maybe less mobile, but come on. This, supposedly, is a defensive team, and yet we let two game winners that were either a dunk or a layup?

really, with that kind of situation, why would you have Bowen in there? apparently he hasnt done on defense, which was his strength, and he has been, for lack of a better word, abomidable with his shooting this year. Let me guess, Bonner barely played....

I hope Pop tears into them in the locker room, and I hope someone tears into him.

i hope we magically get Corey Brewer i the draft to at least fix one hole in this team.

Oops, forgot, he'd be put behind Bowen and Finley and spend most of his time in Austin leading the Toros.....

, at least the Mavs lost to a playoff team... man do I want these last games to zip by so we can focus on the playoffs, though I doubt if anyone knows about focus on this team. I dont care if im bashed for this but I say we get the 3 seed and barely make it out of the first round, and then tank against whoever we meet in the 2nd...

    I am spent....

Bowen has been playing good defense. And in the last four or five games he is shooting over 60%.

They didn't lose because of Bowen.

You know...it's not that I thought we'd detroy the Pacers or anything, but I didn't think it would be a struggle to stay in the game. The one time I actually get to attend a game, and this is what happens.
    Then there's vbookie....
