While he may have controlled himself after the game, he still looked bad mouthing all of those profanities toward Crawford on national TV.
All the refs will be against the Spurs this postseason..
Spurs fans will be the ones crying like little es when they get eliminated by the Denver Nuggets
While he may have controlled himself after the game, he still looked bad mouthing all of those profanities toward Crawford on national TV.
he got what was coming to him. right move from the nba.
I can't think of a single NBA superstar who'd have reacted differently to being ejected while laughing on the bench in a game against their rivals.
Woot woot
That's in right bag Joey Crawford.
what do you think about Mark Cuban?
First of all, Stackhouse was never even ejected in the playoffs. He committed a hard foul in Game 4 of the Finals and got suspended later for Game 5. But I'd like to hear more from you about how he handled his non-existent ejection.
And the Spurs players act like jackasses just as much if not MORE than any of the Mavs players after calls that they don't like. Duncan's big eyed "who me" routine follows after literally every foul called against him.
Take off the silver and black glasses man.

He's whiney too. But he's not a player. Duncan, especially given his stature in the league, should be held to a much higher standard.
Why are you trying to deflect this? This situation is handled. Why even bring Cuban into this topic unless it's just to be the typical ass that you are?
Watch out!!
The Wrath of the ref will be coming soon to a barn called the AT&T Center.
But seriously, Spurs fans will be crying and on suicide watch late April
I think the message today is pretty clear: players are accountable through the officiating, but officials are accountable through the league, which is perfectly willing to publicly discipline one of its best-known officials and to punish him severely for acting maliciously.
I don't think there will be reprecussions against the Spurs from the Brotherhood -- at least nothing overt -- during the playoffs. I suspect that anything that appears to be aimed at exacting vengeance against the Spurs will be dealt with as well. That's not to say that the officials have been instructed or will be expected to bail the Spurs out or to tilt calls in the Spurs' favor.
Ultimately, the Spurs have zero to do with Crawford's plight -- nothing, at least, beyond Tim Duncan's willingness to step out on a limb and articulate what seemed pretty clear on Sunday afternoon.
As ridiculous as the call Crawford made was...it seems a little unfair that Duncan gets away with a $25,000 fine for his post game comments, which let's face it is chump change for him.
In the PR statement Stern sites Crawford's inability to use professionalism as it relates to his job as one of the reasons for the severe punishment. Duncan clearing cursing out an official, showing him disrespect, and creating a scene as he's leaving all on national TV is not exactly professionalism. I think Duncan's actions...specifically after he was ejected warrant at least a one game suspension. Kids were watching that game as Duncan clearly is screaming "F*uck You" and "You piece of S*it" as he's leaving the floor. That's not "meeting the standards of professionalism" from a basketball player standpoint either.
where do you work? they say that in corp america all the time
Timmy shouldn't have cussed, especially since as you said, kids were watching and it is a bad example.
However I thought the fine had to do with his comments about the vendetta not his language to Crawbabyford.
I don't think anyone has ever been suspended for cursing, but the fine was definitely justified due to the reason you just stated
kids hear cursing going to mcdonalds
he should not but to act like they have not heard it is stupid
You act like Spurs fans don't have a right to about the officials.
Last year in the WCF, the refs literally gave Dallas the series. Bavetta was terrible, like Crawford, only through a 7-game period.
Well I guess you got your wish then, because he didn't play yesterday.
You do realize that Kobe cusses out officials every game. What Duncan said to Crawford is an every game phrase for Kobe. No one is known to use more foul language around the league than KB24.
Nice try.
Yes, I know that...my statement wasn't about that. My point being if Stern is accusing Crawford of not meeting the standards of professionalism in the game...then Duncan's in game action (not the laughing, etc.) but the cursing out at the official and creating a scene as he's leaving isn't professional either. Why no suspension for that?
joey, you better dont mess with timmy again![]()
stern, i think i love you![]()
that's not a good excuse - he shouldn't have yelled what he did regardless of what kids hear at McDonalds
Because players who fail to leave the court in an orderly fashion are almost never suspended but are always fined.
I would have to agree. I think the 25K fine is a little paltry considering everything that took place. The cussing as Tim left the game was pretty disappointing for me. We usually don't see that type of display from Spurs players but then again, none of the Spurs players have ever been ejected for such an absurd reason. I'll be happy when this fiasco is out of the headlines.
