Comments like these are watered down versions of "What's a soup kitchen?" (a la Paris Hilton).

Well, your comment to Norcal about kids receiving new cars being spoiled seemed pretty generalized. If you were speaking specifically about him, I'll move along.

IMHO, many of today's problems are due to the easy way teens are "given" what they want rather than earn it. Cell phones in middle school and SUV's in HS? And some wonder why Paris acts like she does.

Never had a cell phone in middle school, but my parents did give me a SUV in HS and mostly anything I wanted. I am now about to graduate from college and will be pursuing a career in the military.

I salute you! I had to walk 5 miles to school each day and got a job in HS and bought my own wheels but that is another story for another time.

It's something I have always wanted to do, I come from a military family, Both my grandfathers and one of my grandmothers served in the Navy, my father and two uncles served in the Army, my brother has been in for 8 years and is now currently in Special Forces in the U.S. Army. I was raised around military my whole life, love everything about them.










And I hear they have great job security.

you are kidding me...

i grow up in a nice area, and people who go to my school already got BMW's as cars and they don't even have a permit. the car they got me is a family car to be used to go to tahoe and so on, and it'll be mine when I'm older. The buying used clothes comment was posted just to stir up controversy, and you can call me arrogant for that because I don't care. I enjoy making people like you on the internet . The 2nd comment, you blew way out of proportion... go look at my post. If you read it, it says "Not to talk bad about others who weren't privileged enough to get a car... but you are just talking because your first car was ty"... 3rd comment is true to many people
