Argentina played with a lot of heart, no doubt with their whole squad they could hang.
Hopefully at the Olympics Chris Paul will be around to back up Kidd. It was seriously painful to see that offense being run by Billups.

Funny when Walton was talking about players getting rest he said "oh Carmello doesn't get very far in the playoffs"![]()

He got paid 90 mil from Nike before entering the NBA.
He led his team to the finals after only a few years in the NBA.
He has had some crazy good games so early in his career.
Amare may call himself black jesus, but if I were Lebron I would think I was God.
Try playing with someone like delfino!![]()
Athleticism is a big part of the game, live with it.
If Argies were high flyers you wouldn't be complaining
Still cant belive Arg is "only" losing by 19 when his 3p % was terrible...
Argentina definitely could be alot more compe ive, but at the same time I think the US let off the gas a lot this game. If they stay full throttle the whole game I don't think anybody stands a chance.
Adding Wade and Bosh to this team with be scary
He started out like 1-8 and he kept on shooting. As said in the Brazil vs Argentina game blog, everybody on the Argentina team is team first, except Delfino, this guy wants to score -- badly.
I don't want to hate on Billups too much tho....he's a great player, but he's alot like Duncan cuz I just don't think his game translates over to the FIBA-style of play at all.
Does any of that give you the right to be a show off?
Results appart, that is the main difference between the lastest bunchs of players in Team USA and the Dream Team.
That team had some of the best players in basketball history, and yet they respected every rival and didn't want to look "badass".
This game is probably a blessing in disguise for Argentina tho. The US team really won't know just how good they are until they play them when it matters in the Olympics.
And I'm delighted indeed.
Only 91 points? What happend???![]()
True. I don't know the players name, but number 5 on Argentina is a pretty good 3pt shooter as well as a bulky guy that kinda looks like Manu, I call him BullDog Manu and they only hit like one three today each.
I agree with that... i also didn't like Portas ac ude.
Got to give it to the Argies, they played damn good.
Scola has some nice skills on o, but Im worried he might be in constant foul trouble in the NBA having to guard guys like Duncan, Dirk, etc
Delfino is as much of a ballhog as Barbosa, and I didnt think that was possible
The 15 points were the the ones of the first quarter
They let off the gas, it was pretty obvious

Yeah, they let off the gas...too much point running by Billups....too many showtime moves and a lot of missed inside shots. I see a beating in the championship match....
Man Mono....chill out...Kobe answers the bell....I don't need to say anything...ok how about....
62-61
Really? and AAALLL the other games?
I just can't wait till the 4th quarter of the gold medal match when Kobe tanks it to prove how awesome he is, except this time the rest of the team shrugs and kicks ass anyways.
