'94 Niners? That team won because the Cowboys spotted them 21 to start the game of the NFC championship. Then they got possibly the weakest Super Bowl team ever in the '94 suck ass Chargers. That team wasn't elite, it was fortunate.
They dethroned the two-time champion Cowboys. The also had the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year on the same team.
That's what they all say.
I remember 1994. There was a period between 1994 and 1997 when I really hated the Cowboys. I didn't hate them beforehand, and then once they fell apart, I didn't hate them anymore.
The issue in 1994 was that I had started college, and was exposed to these Cowboy fans from Dallas who ed, moaned, made excuses, etc. for four months following the NFC Championship Game loss to SF. I learned to hate those obnoxious Cowboys fans and also the team.
You brought back those memories.
Don't forget those late 1998 Broncos... that team was pretty damn good.
While I don't believe hate belongs with anything involved with a game, I developed a serious and intense dislike for those fans...and still have it. I feel the same about Spurs fans who make excuses.I learned to hate those obnoxious Cowboys fans
That is a good list.
I would also include Lombardi's '62 Packers if you want to include pre-Super Bowl teams.
I don't know much about that team but their record was superb. It was the year Jim Taylor scored 19 touchdowns. I have no problem adding them to the list.
I have also heard from older fans that the '69 Chiefs was an incredible team. Their regular season wasn't as impressive as some champions. But their roster was stacked with great, talented athletes from what I have seen on NFL Films.
You must be referring to bandwagon fans since you started to dislike them less after 1997. I can assure you that I am not a bandwagon fan, and would be right in your face all day long if it ensured hatred from such a stodgy, pompous ass.
You have your opinion and I have mine, but feel free to hate me as much as you want. I'll make sure to enjoy it.
I had the privilege to meet Willie Mitc from that team back in '97. He and Warren McVea are both from San Antonio and played in SB 4 when KC beat Minnesota. Great guy. He worked for United Way and my company was doing a big United Way thing so he came out and talked with us. He showed off his SB ring. Very cool.
Talk about crazy stuff, I had completely forgotten that the Pats own the 49'ers First Rounder in 2008 -- despite the penalty of losing their own first rounder in 2008, the Pats will still (most likely) have a top 5-8 pick in next year's draft.
I don't know if it would ensure lasting hatred so much as just a punch in the mouth, but if you say you'd enjoy it, I believe you.
Hey BIG, you're famous... you got written up in the Dallas Observer...

Yep this team is set for the next 3-4 years. Having a pick like that makes this unbeatable powerhouse even sicker. Might as well hand us next years rings too because it is going to be a LONG ASS time until somebody knocks off the greatest franchise of all time.
This man is wise.
The pressure is mounting. Can you feel it?
I hope the Pats do go undefeated to finish the regular season.
Pats soon to follow. Then as long as they are healthy The Celtics will be in the finals and have a much better chance against anyone in the west than people realize.
, go ahead, sleep on the Spurs. Here, I'll break it down for you........Pats are not going to win the Super Bowl, Celtics are not going to win the NBA Championship.
Thats the Cowboys pal. NE doesn't even compare.
Not after the Pats go 19-0.
I didnt say the Spurs didnt have a chance. I am saying the Celts (if healthy) have as good of a chance to win it all as anyone. And yes the Pats are going to win the superbowl. Name me who is going to take their place as champs this year? The Cowboys and their shaky D? The Steelers? The injury depleted Colts? The choking chargers? The Packers? Please name me somebody who is going to win it all if it isnt going to be the most dominating team of all time in New England.
