MRI tomorrow and his status will be revealed tomorrow.
1, to 3 days is what sean guessed
all ligaments fine x-ray neg, mri tomorrow
MRI tomorrow and his status will be revealed tomorrow.
The Blazers guys said knee contusion, ligaments stable, MRI tomorrow.
They said nothing about his ankle.
Blazer's sideline reporter ed up saying 'contusion' so she explained it away by calling it a glorified bruise.
man Prizbilla is just agitated
That could have been alot worse. Hate to see TD hurt. He probably will be out for a couple of games but I think they should rest him more just to be safe. Now let's see who steps up and get some extra minutes.
X-rays should have indicated a ligament tear though, right?
SFIE says that they probably aren't worried if they are waiting until tomorrow for an MRI.
Tim Duncan injured Sunday against Blazers
Tim Duncan left Sunday's game at the AT&T Center after it appeared he hurt his right knee.
The team said he has a right knee contusion and sprained right ankle.
The team released the following statement at the end of halftime:
"All ligaments appear to be stable ... x-rays taken at the AT&T Center were negative ... will undergo an MRI on Monday ... his status will be updated after his MRI."
Duncan went down with 7:40 left in the second quarter with the Spurs facing the Portland Trail Blazers. Duncan was near the basket at the Spurs' offensive end. He appeared to get tangled up with a Blazers player as a pass was coming in to him.
Duncan stayed on the ground and grabbed his knee.
The Spurs' Michael Finley got a technical as several players crowded around Duncan.
Duncan was helped from the court by teammates Robert Horry and Francisco Elson.

Out of all that was reported, im looking more at they way sean acted. he was in there and didnt/doesnt seem worried at all.
Thanks for the update. Sounds like the MRI is just a precaution and he will be fine. Sit him for a few weeks i don't care, all that matters is he comes back healthy.
Either that or the XRay machine is shut down on Sundays![]()
It'll be interesting to see if Tony and Manu can combine for 60 pts. ppg. while Tim is out.
Spurs really seem to want this W today.
Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce 333333333333333
My Sunday went due south there guys. I was worried when a ticker box score said 11 minutes for Tim. TD should sit as long as necessary. We all know the true objective and we must have a healthy team to do the job. Hope these initial reports hold true.
The other reassuring thing is that the players don't seem antsy or anxious. They are still having a good time and playing well; not acting like one of their biggest players went down for a significant amount of time.
is anyone worried about the hand/wrist of El' Contusion ?
X-rays don't show ligament damage. MRIs are always taken at least a day later. Sometimes a couple days later. They have to wait for the initial swelling to decrease.
Oh, ok. Thanks.
Where's Manu???
Sounds like he is okay though and the MRI is more of a precaution. That they are not expecting to really find anything.
I'm no doctor, but that sounds promising. Thanks for the updates. My signal crapped out during that half.
Hi SFF! no prob, i just wanna know what up w/ manu
I'm glad that so far it seems that Duncan will be okay.
He can stay out as long as he needs to now. Glad it isn't March/April.
I'm one of those that believes we don't win a Championship without him.
Finley 2-17 (dating back to last game).
Sigh. I don't like watching him with the ball.
SFIE wants to know if Udoka slashed Pop's tires, because that's all he can assume from the fact that Finley is still getting this much time over the new guy.
