Hopefully its not day to day like it was in 2000 if he is injured and needs surgery.
Hopefully they are just honest and say hes out, were gonna do the best we can.
Well, he can fit under the door, which is a plus. On the other hand, he's going to have to find a phone he can reach...

Now I'm beginning to worry. Why haven't we heard anything yet?
When I had an MRI on my knee it took more than a week to get the results. When someone important's injured, it usually takes until about 2:00 or later for them to be released. The MRI's probably done, but someone has to look at it and tell Timmy. Then it goes to the media.
If Dr.Schmidt was the one who said all ligaments were good then he should be good
Tim suffering from Munchausen syndrome, it is all too obvious. This is all to do about nothing.
I got my results back instantly, when I tore my medial meniscus.
MRI is instant what u talkin bout?
Like I said, when someone important gets injured...
I don't know, Maybe my knee guy was backed up. I actually ended up NOT having meniscus damage and it took them a week before they called me. The speed with which they move when someone with money or status is involved still makes me laugh. I'm sure for Duncan everyone's actually watching the results as they come off the machine. It probably took a few days just to get my results back to the doctor.
They probably have their own MRI machine.
Uh Oh, the jinxmaster has spoken...
not yet...but if he starts betting wine on the outcome, I'm going to drive up there and kick his ass...

Well we are well into the afternoon.. The longer the delay in relaying the information seems to indicate it may not be good. if the injury was not serious i would assume we would have heard something already..
Maybe the swelling wasn't down enough for the MRI to be done?
My orthopedic doc read the results before I got back to the examination room and came in and told me I had a torn meniscus and what he needed to do. I was there a total of 45 mins tops.
Of course Dr O'Shea is a neighbor of mine...maybe I got special treatment.
I already bet tlong a bottle...he said that TD will be out for 6 wks and I said he will miss 2 games.
Marc Stein just noted in his chat that an update on Timmy isn't expected until sometime later this afternoon. That would seem obvious, of course . . . .
damnit, Jim...you're a doctor, not Jimmy the Greek...
We're doomed...
His predictions are about as accurate as Jimmy the Greek's were.
The Spurs have their own team of doctors and medical equipment specifically for their players. We normal people can't afford to have our own doctors and medical equipment. Instead, we share our doctor's time with the numerous other patients that doctor has. Hence why your results are available much slower than an athlete's results.
More like they pay to go to the head of the line.
Maybe they are waiting till after they insert the Robot-knee to get us an update.
New for 2008: Robo-Tim
Orthopedic docs start their bidding at 50 grand to get the chance to care for NFL teams. I think it is probably the same for the NBA.
The doc who reads the MRI is a radiologist, not the orthopedic treating doc. MRI results can be difficult to read and all radiologists do is read MRIs. There is often even a difference of opinion between the best of radiologists.
To some degree, this is true, however...the Spurs share Dr. David Schmidt and Paul Saenz with lots of other people, amateur and professional, millionaires and low-income. They specialize in sports medicine but they are in private practice and are not dedicated to the Spurs.
