i would hope that most people with a serious medical condition would either consult their doctor about potentially dangerous mixtures, especially if i knew or planned on taking large amouts (key) of sleeping pills. even celebs should have as much common sense.

He was found with a large amount of sleeping pills. Until the autopsy is completed, there's no way of knowing that he even took one.

And there are stories all the time about doctors and pharmacists not catching potentially harmful drug interactions before issuing a prescription. But, even knowing that, most people (myself included, and I'm guessing you, too) tend to trust the doctor enough to go ahead and take any and all medications as prescribed once they've been given.

On top of that...having pneumonia does more than just make it hard to breathe sometimes...it can put you in a near absolute delerium.

And they don't always put you in the hospital for it...in fact I don't think it's common at all for them to put people in the hospital with it unless they are elderly.



I had it when I was about 9 or 10 and I had one of those seeing the white lights seeing the waterfall near death experiences. Other times I was wandering around the house talking about and no one knew what the I was talking about. I don't know what my fever was but it was high...

Doctor knew I had it too...didn't send me to the hospital, and I was just a little kid.


The thing is...if you have it, you want to be asleep because it hurts to breathe and you feel like .




Tell you what...next time you get surgery...tell your doctor you want to stay awake for it...then you can call a guy stupid for wanting to be asleep with pneumonia.

fair enough. if it comes out that his death was caused by some prescriptions from his doctor taken in a regular dose, then that would be ed up and completely on the doctor. otherwise....

According to PerezHilton.com the autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday but we won't have results for weeks. I definitely don't think it was suicide, but an accidental deadly combination of prescription drugs.

I think he was simply addicted to sleeping pills and his tolerance got too high for his sytem to handle.


Let me ask you this...Einsteins...if he was going to kill himself with sleeping pills..doesn't it stand to reason he would have taken all of them?

In any case...I'd imagine it's not that easy to commit suicide without taking a whole bottle of sleeping pills. And I'd imagine even the stupidest of people realize that. Regardless of swallowing ability.

That would explain why i sold like 50 batman posters today on Amazon. I had no idea he died, i woke up and looked at my inbox i usually sell 3-5 a day and i had like 50 orders they are still coming in too but im now sold out of the one with him as the Joker.

Another strange thing is that just last night my gf randomly popped in a Knights Tale into our dvd player we watched it and fell asleep then we saw this had happened and we are in shock right about now.

They are saying it was sleeping pills maybe he had insomnia, this Batman Movie will surely smash all other Batman movies at the box office. Thank god i still have about 100 Dark Knight original posters (not reprints)

TMZ has been contacted by a rep from Heath's family. The cops told the family Heath's death was accidental and there is no evidence to support the buzz that he may have committed suicide.

They are particularly distraught over media reports that he may have taken his own life. The family says he was not that kind of person.

As we just reported, Heath was ill with pneumonia when he died.

I don't see how people can come in and claim he either did commit suicide or that he never could have. It makes sense to hope he did not do this on purpose; that is a much easier pill to swallow (pun intended), but no one can know for sure what happened yet.

You never know- he could have died from pneumonia. Nicole DeHuff from Meet the Parents did, and she was only 30 years old.
