Someone's freaking out?
Yeah I knew what you meant.
People are touchy around here today.
Someone's freaking out?
You didn't say it was irritating and pathetic for people to ramble on about their children? Your children are your children whether they are 4 or 40 ... so if was an entirely different train of thought, a little clarification wouldn't have hurt.![]()
I guess.
I just asked simple questions.
That was just a continuation of my previous thought on mothers who talk of nothing but their children.
Didn't think it was that vague.
I see. Usually if I'm talking nothing of my children, it's actually a cry for help.
I stay out of threads I have no interest in.
As far as kid bragging goes, most people here had no idea I had a son.
So I'll excuse myself from that one.
Never accused you of it or even implied it.
Everyone else just assumed I was saying that.
I was just addressing the issue Disgruntled, not you.
That's how I took what Mother Theresasaid. I think he was feeding off of my point that some parents whole life is about their kids.
SW--I swear, our kids' ears must be burning all the time![]()
I didn't think it was that hard to comprehend.
So, in essence, it's S y's fault. Damn, mother hater.
Nuh-uh...I win Mother of the Year EVERY year, dammit.
So why is it creepy that mother and son post on Spurstalk? I could see if it was myspace or eharmony.com, but it's a sports fan's forum.![]()
And congratulations to you and your son, duncan. Glad you feel a connection here, too. I think that's nice, and speaks well of Kori and Tim, that they've created this place where people actually get together off the internet.
BFD! Last Christmas I got the "Best Mom in the Whole World" trophy!!!!
Yeah...well, I'm gonna take that le away from you, beyotch!
Bring it!![]()
Them's fightin' words!!!![]()
, now that mine both have cell phones, I don't even get a chance to walk in the door before I get the "What's for dinner?!?!?!?!?!?!?!". I get texts on the way home. And that doesn't even come with a trophy.![]()
Yep that's a real pisser! I got all 3 of mine their own cookbook so they each take a day. If anyone complains about a meal or doesn't give me their shopping list on grocery day----they do an extra dinner!!! hahahaha
"Kyle" was raised an NBA fan.
There have been games on in the living room his whole life.
He had a life sized Larry Bird growth chart in his nursery.
He did the Sonics summer camp for years.
Did the ball boy thing a few times.
He shot free throws with Brent Barry.
Won $20. from Jerome James.
I don't think it's strange at all that he liked ST.
I was always on it, he started to lurk.
And he joined months ago.
Yea but does he roll his eyes every time Tim Duncan makes a play and your eyes glaze over, as your mind drifts into oblivion??![]()
He doesn't watch as many games as he used to, between school, work, and a long distance girlfriend I pretty much only see him if he's hungry.
But he's patient with my Duncan thing, as is the rest of my family.
They're used to it.![]()
That's a strange thing to say given that a lot of people here know each other in the "real" world, and given people like Slomo and alamo20 and myself who have made real friends with people through this board and met them after traveling across the globe. Surely, those are some real connections? , you and I were going to have lunch when I was in SA last year except that I got really sick in the second week...
What is so strange about people connecting through a message board, especially one as awesome as ST?
As for the last two pages of this thread, talk about misinterpretation! Lionsfan didn't mean anything by it, and he clearly didn't come into this thread to heap on 228 or anyone else!![]()
