I am stunned. I never expected that. Great game and really dramatic. Now they will face Turkey or Croatia.
I haven't been following very closely, either; how did Japan and Nigeria fare in the group stage of this tournament?

Although I wanted Germany to take care of Portugal, I'll root for whoever comes out of the Turkey/Croatia match to be Germany. Now my dream scenario would be for Spain to beat Italy, then have Spain choke to whoever team they face next.

Turks just won 3 straight games in final 5 minutes, thats just crazy.
That comentator began saying after the first goal how better they are and that turks will never see half finals... well minute later he got owned

Tonight will be a hard match for the Dutch. The Russians are getting wings (which is often the case with Hiddink led squads, it's like he gives his teams an extra dose of confidence.....). A friend of mine predicted 1-1 and Russians winning after penaltys....I hope it will not go that way, though I fear the golden of Guus

I was predicting Russia win 2-1, they won 3-1
Umm they closed out Hollands wings and to me Russia was playing fantastic football. Better defensivly and tacticly and most important agression was there, but that was ice cold agression.

They deserved the win (it was a penalty) and the dutch couldn't live up to the hype that they created after demolishing both Italy and France.
Guus was better prepared and he adds yet another chapter to his amazing legacy. Now let's see if he can do it again vs. Spain (he also was a club coach in Spain for Valencia so he knows the spanish soccer (players) extremely well too).
I am rooting for Russia now (I picked them play Germany in the Finals before the tournament started).
