Do you mean Payback or Get Carter tbh?
Parker - 6/10 : It was a Get Porter ripoff. Starring Jason Statham instead of Mel Gibson. Still not bad though.
Do you mean Payback or Get Carter tbh?
End of Watch was a solid 8/10.
One of the best cop movies i've seen in a long time tbh. The mexican gang members were a little cliche/over the top but otherwise, a very solid movie.
I saw the devil IS awesome
Payback I think.
Compared to other great Korean movies like Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Oldboy, etc., it underwhelmed IMO. Started off great but tailed off tbh.
Really you thought Sympathy for Lady Vengeance was good?
I tried watching that last night and couldn't get into it. Compounded by the fact Netflix has a very ty quality of the movie made for a very uncomfortable 30 or so minutes that I watched.
Enjoyed it more than I Saw the Devil. Not on the same level as Oldboy but still entertaining IMO albeit slower.
Gonna have to check those out. thoughts on Doomsday Book?
The Call - 6/10
Hated the ending though.
yeah best korean film I've seen.. or maybe 2nd best to old boy
Haven't seen it yet.
I've been admittedly slacking on my international movie viewing but that's on the list.
Agreed with Mugen. It started off great but the ending was meh.
How do you watch any Adam Sandler movie from the past 6(or so) years and go in with any expectations for it to be anything less than a horrible ing movie. He makes a summer cash cow movie every year now, and they all look ing terrible.
It was so bad that it just made my expectations seem high, tbh.![]()
Star Trek Into Darkness 7.5/10
it was good but feels like it was missing something.
End of Watch - 9/10
Loved the do entary style of the movie.
So should I not watch I Saw the Devil then? I was going to watch it within the next few days but movie is over two hours and I really dont want to waste my time if its as bad as you guys are making it out to be.
Is I Saw the Devil the one with the hammer death at the end? Trying to remember what Korean movie that was
lol silver linings playbook, so contrived, forced even. that chick from Winters Bone was unbearable to watch, she can't act, can't run, can't yell. 4/10
Jack Reacher - 7/10 solid flick, should have gone into more detail as to why the bad guys needed to take that person out, cause that was a pretty high profile, high risk way of going about it. also Reacher's last shot was an absurd Hollywood "good guy can hit a fly in a split second while moving, bad guy can't hit a barn he's been aiming at for 3 minutes while still" shot
Not really a movie, but a huge do entary series: The World at War.
Pretty amazing stuff. Wish they did an episode on the incredible weapons the Nazis had by the end of the war (the Me262 Schwalbe [first turbojet], the V-2, the Me163 Komet [rocket interceptor], their wooden stealth bomber, etc.), but still overall it was an outstanding series.
Following by Christopher Nolan
I dont know wtf I just watched.![]()
Whatya think about "Click" though?
It wasn't a hammer. It was like a 19th century way of beheading a person kinda in the end.
