On the plus side, the defense looks solid. Outside or Rojo..Mercado, otamendi, funes mori can all defend.

Rojo is terrible, needs to go. He can't defend, and when he's asked to attack, he sucks. Didn't like Funes Mori much, but he's really a CB, he's been asked to play left back and he's just not that savvy with the ball. Mercado and Ottamendi were good.
This team needs a real #10, a playmaker. Keep giving chances to Pastore or Lamela, not a lot to choose from. Upfront, is about time to give Dybala, Icardi a shot. Piguan can't play another important game for Argentina, tbh...
In the midfield, Banega was the only positive, up to an extent. Biglia is , Di Maria is a pussy and always hurt. It's like that that keeps -teasing.

I have never seen Messi broken like that, tbh. He lost the World Cup and he was sad and that was understandable. He was just.... broken tonight. I know the usual trolls/haters will put the blame squarely on him (and he does carry some responsibility, obviously), but I have 10+ people above him that have as much or more responsibility for this , starting with the Argentina Federation, the coach and his buddy players, Piguain... we're supposedly "stacked", and Piguain keeps choking like an asshole, Aguero watches from the bench, Di Maria could've been taking selfies all games for all we know, dude disappeared, we play that got Biglia for 120 mins, and basically put the entire game on his hands... horrible decisions that costs us silverware.
Higuain has average skills, the only reason he scored the mano a mano vs the US goalie is because the ball ricocheted into his foot when he missed. Versus Chile once again he got exposed like in the WC final.
Chile had a much more difficult road to the finals, the team showed some heart and deserved to win, tbh.
