Hmmm....so Salmons wont play tonight huh? C'mon Spurs just do it already...get the Salmons/Thomas package!
before that bit about Salmons, I was thinking that there would be no trade with the Spurs.
They were willing to dump Mason for nothing and eliminate him from any possible deals where the other team would need expirings, thus pretty much crippling them from any real deals. If they were down until Miami called it off there must not have been anything else in the works, could there?
I bet Salmons and others go to Houston.
Book it...

The Suns have told Amar'e Stoudemire that he is playing tonight against the Dallas Mavericks, suggesting no imminent trade, sources tell Y!
Wait a second, the the twitter is that the Bulls tell Salmons to shut it down, not Tyrus Thomas.
Is this a Salmons-only deal?
hmm interesting... you would think they would be packaged together.
I hope to God it's not to Houston. Can't wait to see who's active for the game tonight.
Bulls on the verge of unloading Salmons

NEW YORK -- Bulls management has told John Salmons to remain at the team hotel Wednesday night as it finalizes a trade for the veteran swingman, sources said.
It doesn't appear Salmons will be moving to Houston as part of a Tracy McGrady trade, as the Rockets' demands for multiple draft picks is too high.
Unloading Salmons removes all doubt about him possibly exercising his $5.8 million player option this summer and guarantees that the Bulls will have enough money to offer a maximum contract this summer.
The Bulls have a 6:30 p.m. tipoff against the Knicks, the team they have been vying against in efforts to acquire McGrady.

Could be.
Sources: Milicic headed to Wolves
The New York Knicks have a deal in principle to send Darko Milicic to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Brian Cardinal, two sources with knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com on Wednesday.
The two sides have yet to formally complete the trade and have a trade call scheduled for Thursday morning. Assuming nothing changes overnight, the deal should be officially consummated in the morning.
The trade will save the Knicks $1.8 million and give the Wolves a center to audition for the rest of the season. Milicic has been mired at the end of Mike D'Antoni's bench for months and has publicly said he's likely to return to Europe to play basketball when his contract expires this summer.
The Knicks plan to waive Cardinal in an attempt to clear another roster spot to facilitate a potential deal that would send Nate Robinson to Boston.
Yeah DWade, goin home...
If the Spurs trade expiring just for Salmons, I will personally go drug test RC.
I disagree, if you can improve the D and the swingman position by getting a Salmons you do it.
It would make no sense to trade just for Salmons. The Spurs better have something damn good in the works with someone else if they're only getting Salmons from Chicago.
You only trade for Salmons by himself if the plan is to let Manu walk.
From twitter:
@JMACSAEN: Pop, from pre-game at Indiana, on #spurs at trade deadline: "I wouldn’t expect anything to happen for us,"
mason and bonner for salmons..... id do it in a hearbeat. getting to close to the deadline to play games... they might not have wanted to get rid of thomas just yet.
If that one Manu fan is right and one team is gonna supposedly offer Ginobili 9 to 11, he was gone anyways.
Hot damn theres a trade goin down.

Archive The Chicago Bulls are holding guard John Salmons out of Wednesday’s game at New York in anticipation of a trade, ESPN.com has learned.
Salmons’ destination could not be immediately confirmed, but the Bulls have made the decision to pull Salmons out of the game against the Knicks because he is going to be traded before Thursday’s 3 p.m. trading deadline.
Any team willing to take on Salmons has to pay him $5.8 million next season.
The Bulls have been trying to force teams interested in Tyrus Thomas to include Salmons in the deal or include him as part of a package for Houston’s Tracy McGrady.

lmao manu getting 3 years at 30 million would be absurd. no way we match that.
Sounds like a trade in the works.
After Pop's comments, I expect a trade.
