They will probably have to get through Argentina, Italy and Brazil. I wouldn't just hand them the cup because they beat Sweden...
yes it's a yellow but it's not enough on a second yellow. You have to let the players play. It was more of an obtruction than a hold. A last warning should have been the call.

I don't think you can win the WC when your best defender is Michael Ballack. Just ask the Mavericks. Brazil will eat them alive.
germany 2-0 up and the ref still feels the need to help them out. pathetic.
Italy isn't that good. Argentina and especially Brazil will be their toughest matches. Brazil will be the best chance to beat Germany.
Germany will beat Argentina, it wouldn't surprise me if that game went to goal kicks where Germany would win. They seem to have more powerful strikers than Argentina who scores more on finness passing skills and finishing close on goal.

Well every game is different in soccer turnaments. Germany may dominate sweden. Sweden may win with Argentina, but it doeasn't mean that Argentina won't dominate Germany.
You've got to learn that in soccer turnament every game is different.
And stop talking about the refs already. It's in boring
swedish defenders should learn what a tackle is.
Disagree. Its about goal scoring ability and Germany is on par with Brazil and Argentina. The best defense in soccer is ball possession, shots on goal and goal scoring and germany is good at all of this. they can distance themselves from other teams with their offense alone.
Also the home team has a history of doing well in world cup.

It would not surprise me if Brazil beat Germany and I will be rooting for Brazil in that matchup. I want germany knocked out as soon as possible but I don't see that happening.
The problem is when you face the bigger teams you are not always going to have that advantage. The compe ion is better. It's not like Germany would dominate possession 60 to 40. In 1998 Brazil was thinking the same thing. Then they got reamed because of horrible defense and lost 3-0. All it takes is one chance and it's a goal because of bad defense. Even fat boy Ronaldo will score every time. As bad as Sweden as played they had 3 great scoring chances that should have been goals. The D pathetic and it will show. That is all.
Their d isn't that bad. Didn't they shut out their last two opponents?
I've seen every team in the tournament have defensive breakdowns. its about goal scoring ability and Germany is one of the best.
But I hope you are right and Germany gets beat. I just don't see that happening though.

The referee made a mistake wth that Penalty call.

I believe Argentinia is a better team than Germany but it seems to be a advantage playing at home. If all turns out normal Argentina should beat them.
Of course I am happy that they won and they deserved it. More shots, more possession and good flow of the game esp. 1st half...

We played good game esp. on defense controlling the ball. If they can do that vs Argentina then I say wow.
We scored 2 goals - I predicted one, but that was a good win ans as streaky said a big adventage of shots.
Damn they scared me a little.
