Or Ndoye? Milutinov?
But we got 32 year old Lorbek and his bad knee!
Where is Bertans and LJC?????!

You know you want him
WTF?
You mean Bertans and LJC aren't going in the roster this year??
What's crazy is that a team like ORL that has traded for Ibaka, agreed to a big deal with Fournier, traded for Meeks and signed another FA still has 30M in cap space?
MURRRRRAAYYYY!!!
That's the Utah list. Vegas is always different.
Still missing out on Milutinov, Bertans, LJC. I wonder why. That's interesting and seeing Kyle back. Didn't think he had anything left to prove. Maybe they need him to guide Murray.
Yeah, he ain't leaving that money on the table...especially to come to the Spurs for a discount and fight for minutes with Parker.
The Spurs never even courted him.
Glad that is not SA paying him max type money.
Random queston: Does anyone else have concerns about LMA staying with the Spurs? I mean, he's not young, Spurs got bounced in the 2nd round.
If SA doesn't improve this offseason and "wastes" a year not contending at LMA's age, that means LMA only has one more year after this upcoming year before his player option. Anyone concerned with that?
Nah. I'd much rather kawhi play alongside a legit top 15 player in the league during his peak 27-30 years..He's way too moody.
Leonard's contract is a ing steal. Damn.
After a 2nd round exit, it's easy to forget that the Spurs won 67 games, but hopefully that isn't lost on LaMarcus. He was also playing with an injury that was apparently worse than he let on (considering he recently said it is still bothering him).
Spurs don't need to throw out the playbook. They just need to either get better production or replace the guys that the bed against OKC (namely Mills, Ginobili, Diaw, West, and sadly...Duncan), and they will be right there contending again.
I am. (Though location seems to be as big a factor for him as winning and Dallas and Houston don't seem like better Texas options). I'm more worried that without Duncan's positive influence that the occasionally diva-ish, malcontent side of LMA may show. Winning cures a lot of ills, but we're unlikely to win 67 next year. So, I could see some difficulties ahead...
Pop is smart to include him in the group to get Durant which emphasizes he's not only a player but part of the new inner circle.
He's also likely to opt out of that deal early to get paid again under the new cap.
Absolutely.. He left Portland for le runs not 2nd round exits. He's not 100% loyal having already left Portland..
Not only yeah, but yeah. And they aren't going to be putting any big pieces around him this offseason. You guys are starting to see the pinch I was talking about, and why I thought taking a year to re-build. Free up a load of cap space, to bring in a top-tier FA, and manufacture a 40-win season to score a lottery pick.
Making the playoffs isn't enough. Aldridge didn't come here for second round (or first round) bounces. I was talking about a quick, controlled re-build. The Spurs need to pull a rabbit out of the hat, or they are going to be forced into a real, and much more ugly re-build. Right now I'm down to hoping for them finding a few over-achievers from the D-League or Europe.
But, yeah, they damned well better put some pieces in to be serious contenders, or they'll never get any big name players to come. The worst thing they could do is be a 50-win team for the next couple of seasons. Either find a way to be better than that, or commit a year to re-build and get the pain over with.
Save our money for cp3 next year TBH.
If SA doesn't get a few surprises this year from who they bring in and SA underwhelms in the playoffs again, it puts a ton of pressure on the next off season to impress. LMA/Kawhi/DG is a win-now core (even though Kawhi is young) so they have limited time.
I was holding out hope for a trade scenario involving a team spending money on free agents, & needing to shed contracts-- someone like Memphis & Brandan Wright, Miami & Josh McRoberts, Boston & Jonas Jerebko... but these seem pretty remote now, considering what bargains their contracts are with the new Cap...
Another question: If Mavs whiff and really do have no luck in FA (especially if Dirk leaves), does Wes Matthews get traded?
Also, I really hope SA is looking at Tyreke Evans if he's available in trade.
What are you talking about?
1 year rebuild isn't a thing in real world.
OKC was at their peak against us. They found our weakness and exploited it. And yet, it easily could've gone the other way.
F-ing kidding me, not one move by the spurs. :/
