Pregnancy can have a large number of life threatening complications, for some of which abortion is appropriate medical care
But what's scary about this vote is it tells Republicans they can do whatever the they want and they'll still get elected. Yeah we don't want abortion made illegal by a 59-41 margin but we'll still vote you in over Democrats by landslide margins even if you do everything you can to make it illegal.

Kansas voting for abortion guarantees that other red States and Confederate states will keep abortion excluded from elections.
So this vote pretty much tells you that Republicans don't vote on issues, they vote on the culture war and white supremacy. Like when Extra Stout pointed out that white supremacy was way more important than Christianity to the white evangelicals who gave full throated support to Trump.
