It's not a great show, but it doesn't sound like you even watch it.
    I saw the first season.

For the last couple of seasons they have been following the comics pretty close so if you want to blame anyone, blame Kirkman. LOL
    not terribly closely tbh

True. Not closely as an the same characters but closely as an, using the same outcomes with different characters.

Mother = Abraham Glenn got it rough; they stayed faithful to the comic book panels.

One thing I like about this show is they don't get confortable with the cast of the show.
They have killed off fan favorites more than once. I didn't expect them to kill
off 2 of the main cast members that most like. This keeps the show from going stale.
It also doesn't hurt that they stray from the comic book to not be Predictable.
I feel that this show will out draw Breaking Bad in fans. AMC does come out with a
good line up of Series's on this network.

Six months to build this episode was not wasted. They planned, prepared and worked hard. Their execution---commendable.

The episode stays with you. I woke up later pondering it, a little sick at the stomach.

A might pedestrian after he returns with Rick and involves Carl, but, still a fine presentation of materiel.

It was moronic and I only watched half of it. Glenn's demise means nothing as they already had a death fake-out with him last season. So the only thing they could do to misdirect the audience was kill Abraham first then 'shock' us with Glenn immediately after. They're more interested in Twitter events than actually storytelling now.

Don't get me started on those idiotic visions Rick had in order to stall the killings 20 minutes.

It was the best episode in a long time Cub. I hope they don't drop the ball in the next 15 episodes.

Yep, it was excellent. I didn't think he was going to do it and was waiting to see how they'd get around it. I was wrong.

They probably have the next episode on the shelf already. After that, it's going to be common.

I thought t was great. It wasn't as much of a shock because we sorta had that shock once before and because the comic has him dying like that. I just didn't think they would follow it because they strayed already and didn't think they would kill him off. Abraham was supposed to be dead already. He was supposed to take the arrow in the head that Denise took so he had to go soon. I can't wait to see what happens now. People that expect a quick revenge will be mistaken. Negan isn't going anywhere any time soon.

I wish there weren't written word on this franchise. I've never read it, but, pick up bits & pieces here & there like this thread.

I want(ed) to complain/comment that Steve would not have been murdered had it not been for Darrel's immaturity, but, now with knowledge that it's in the written word what's the sense?

I never liked this author "hanging around." But, I understand it. I'd of preferred he'd be paid off early with the caveat that he give up all rights. (He) was wise not to. I just regret it time & time again.

I'm really not one for spoilers. Can't stand them, but I couldn't wait so I went and read some. Still I didn't think they'd follow it because it would be too easy and everyone would know and they had strayed before. So when Abraham was killed I breathed a sigh of relief. I didn't expect Glenn too but once he hit him I knew how it was going to go. At the time I thought it was odd that Negan made reference a couple of times about what was left of their group when he had only killed one so again, not completely shocking. It was funny when JDM said that if it wasn't for Daryl, Glenn would still be alive. I can't wait to see Shiva tear some up.

What made the scene so good was the surviving members of the group. Negan didn't just beat two heads in, he completely pacified/pussified everybody else. Their fear was palpable.

You can't turn them loose in the countryside. The animal in them will surface and he'll have 10 people hunting him. Doesn't stand the gaffe.
