I hate Howard, but 3y/70m Howard is not that bad, especially when the other option was Horford for 150m.

Horford and Dwight are obviously different players, BUT, IF (and my God this is such a big if) Dwight has a buy-in at ude and really plays defense/rebounds, they can be just as good overall (maybe offense steps back some) and not be on the hook for such a long deal.
But man, I would probably rather pay Horford. Although if ATL doesn't feel like they can add pieces to what they have done, then they had to gamble on something different I guess.
