How many games has he started? I was interested in getting him on the Spurs.
Great deal for the Wizards, a free swing on a player with clear upside who has to realize it's his last chance to stay in the league.

Cam Whitmore will get more chances. Highly efficient volume scorer.
I think this is mostly Houston doing him a solid, as they'll have so much depth that Cam couldn't get on the court with any frequency.
they definitely didn't want anybody in the west to get him
Glad to see Whitmore somewhere he'll get some real minutes. Way too good of a talent to waste away on the Rockets bench but not like you're going to find much playing time for him when they have Durant, Smith, Thompson, and Eason in front of him.
After the Wizards’ acquisition of Cam Whitmore, who prioritized a larger wing role at his new destination, Corey Kispert is a very strong trade candidate.
Kispert is on a team-friendly contract through 2028-29, which includes a team option, making only $13.6 million annually.

New Whitmore was out of Houston when some random chicks posted pics of him and his response was basically "i was to drunk to remember that"
Cam Whitmore -- tunnel visioned, non-passer, horrible at ude, needs to be the center of an offense (both because of his ego and his play style) but you'll get wrecked if you play him as a centerpiece. The guy needs a total brain replacement to make it going forward.
the quoted poster has been verified as LeBron’s friend one of his best friends. Funny NOW he has interest in Houston.
Durant was a great get but at this point I don't think I want LeBron if I'm the Rockets. Way too old to run such a heliocentric offense around him and that's the only way he has ever played.
Kispert would be a nice bench scoring backfill to our team in the event that Vassell or Keldon were moved for a forward. Not suggesting we go out of our way to turn either of these guys into Kispert, but if Vassell or Keldon were gone, Kispert would be a nice way to replace one of them. His defense is about as terrible as Keldon and Branham's, but he can shoot (though he's a sniper who doesn't quite snipe), would be cheap to acquire and is on a friendly deal (though is more years, which is why I wouldn't even go out of my way to trade Keldon for him)
LeBron would legit be one of the worst players the Rockets could trade for right now tbh.
He'd be a nice fit off the bench. I wouldn't hate that at all.
My prejudice against white guys with headbands would preclude me from endorsing this. The Zollins flashbacks would be too much to take.
Kispert is a very good career 3PT shooter at 38% on 5 and a half attempts/per. That dipped a bit last season to 36.5%, but I think he'd it'd go right back up on a better team. He'd be a solid bench piece for any team tbh.
Problem is he's legit one of the worst defenders in the NBA. One of the worst Defensive Ratings in the league last year (by far the worst Defensive Rating of any Wizard last year) and had the 3rd worst in the entire league 2 seasons ago. He's a sieve on that end and would be unplayable for any team come playoffs.
That situation is going to get ugly. We shall see.
He would have to defer. A lot. His body won’t hold up forever continuing to play that way he is now.
Kispert has been among the worst players in the NBA in the last season. His EPM was in the bottom 20%, OEPM of -1.1 (46%ile) and DEPM of -1.9, (3rd %ile). His DEPM was worse than Harrison Barnes, and was only better than Mamu's (-2.1, but who atleast had an 89%ile offense at a OEPM of 1.7). Better to avoid.
Ryan Rollins on the other hand seems more palatable with a 68%ile DEPM and a 54%ile OEPM and is a 41% 3P shooter, a much better replacement compared to Branham/ Wesley.
Thos isn't a debate between Rollins and Kispert. They have different roles. It's a recognition that if we move Keldon or Devin somewhere that Kispert would fit off the bench and that his fit in that role works.
My sense is the Rollins interest is merely the Spurs seeing if they can steal a young, rotational player and valuable archetype (3 and D combo guard) close to or maybe even at the minimum.
I can't imagine he'd sign with them given the depth in the back court.
As for Kispert, in their hunt for versatility, they've avoided 3-point specialists in recent years and unless it's someone like Mathews for the minimum, I don't see them deviating.
If the Spurs want to build like OKC they should avoid players who are traffic cones on defense
I wasn't comparing Kispert and Rollins directly but suggesting who we can target. Kispert will be a downgrade compared to both Keldon and Devin.
Rollins on on the other hand would be an upgrade over Branham or Wesley.
In this team i don't really think he's a downgrade from Keldon because he's a better fit off the bench. I'll cede to point on Devin though
