Stros much better on road too.

When was the last time that happened in a LCS?
not sure, but when the Astros played the Nationals in the WS, the road teams went 7-0

That Dallas Philly rivalry which already huge in football, renewed through baseball is going to be epic as in the world series.
aren't we a bit premature.....at least beat the Astros 4 times before you talk about the WS.

you guys looked really strong in Houston. Let's see if you can stay hot in Arlington. Also, can the Astros bats, besides Alvarez come to life in the ALCS?

Perhaps with pampered modern pro's having automatic butt wiping machines etc on their chartered flights and 5 star hotel stays make the road not what it used to be.

But to their credit every opponent has struggled to get base runners exposing their Defense. They'll start booting the ball around at Arizona

Phillies have great team strategy for today's MLB postseason setup

Sign a few high priced sluggers, couple top starters and power arms in the Pen

They'll never win a Division le

that’s how the Giants built their teams last decade. Strong 4 man rotation, couple of power arms in the bullpen, and mediocre offense with veterans on the cheap who wouldnt choke and atleast homer enough to get you 4-5 runs a game

The late 90s Yankee dynasty was also similar

Late 90s Yankees foundation was farm products. 1996 the exception.

Giants had one of the strongest staffs in recent history.

Phillies vs Rangers would be 2 clubs with same mentality facing off

Throw meatballs to Schwarber with 2 outs and 1b open.
    Brilliant strategy.

Also when Carroll got on 1b his 1st at bat.
Sac the guy over numb nutts.
Very important to break the ice with that 1st run.
He's faster the phuck so do a hit n run or....

FFS do something to create a run.
AZ coach sits on ass waiting for HRs. Not happening.

Ya seems too good to be true for Max. He's lost his past 2 Playoff starts but would be useful in hypothetical WS

Couldn’t expect to sweep the Astros, or even go up 3-0. But considering how streaky and delicate the Rangers are, this game sucks because one mis-step could completely derail them. Not to mention the curse of Andy.

A backdoor sweep is highly likely.

yeah I'm not too worried about this one...basically a rehab start for Scherzer, and Bochy pretty much conceded the game by keeping him in to chew up innings then going to dogsh!t relievers in order to not burn through the bullpen. If they lose tomorrow though, then it's the usual " DFW sports"

Regardless, they won't be winning anything if their $500 million middle infielders don't start hitting again soon tbh imho

EDIT: Oh yeah, and a giant f*ck you to Andy for randomly showing up to the MLB forum at the worst possible time

The road warriors do it again. The RangersD did a great job of keeping the Astros to 8 runs. That catch by Tavares was outstanding. Thankfully, Brantley followed with a great catch in the next inning.

The two out scoring in this game was insane. I was happy that Jung came up in the 9th with only 1 out.

I have no idea what the Tucker was doing on that fly ball. Also, I have no idea why Alvarez tried to score in the 9th. He couldn't have scored even if he was Willie Mays Hayes.
