Now that Utah lost, and Dallas is in a dogfight with Portland, we're getting closer to clinching our playoff spot and resting up.
Great win by the Lakers. Kobe was amazing in the 2nd half. Artest plays out of control once you get in his head. Josh Powell also played well tonight. That kid has a nice game.

Don't you find it awfully sad that the only smack talk you can say is that the Lakers haven't won a le in 6 years? Honestly, if someone said that about the Spurs 6 years from now how would you react? You'd probably laugh at how pathetic a diss attempt that was.
It's laughable that you would even think of talking about a franchise as storied as the Lakers. The Spurs have had a good run, but the Lakers have done what the Spurs have done over and over again with different generations of players. And the saddest thing is if the Lakers win it all this season they will have accomplished more than the Spurs in this decade.
3 losses to the Lakers. Lets face it, we still cannot roll with the Lakers. We need a healthy T-Mac or retooled Rockets team next year. Artest built his own barn out of bricks today. Yao was -18 on his plus minus. Yes he was efficient with the shots attempted but overall, yeah he sucked. Oh well at least the Celtics are losing to the Heat.

It is funny how Lakers fans always talk about Spurs fans throwing up their history all the time and the Lakers do it as well.
We all understand the Lakers and Celtics' histories and that both teams have won the most NBA Championships. I respect that history and it's great.
But the fact a team from South TX and in one of the smallest TV markets is the most winningest franchise this decade (not talking about 60's, 70's or 80's) is great!!!
I know Lakers fans would like to easily dismiss the Spurs but you can't and the fact LA has some natural advantages over SA...makes the story even more remarkable!!
And if the Spurs win their 4th le in 7 years...they will have one more than the Lakers for the decade!!

Smack talk? It's called REALITY. When was the last time that the Lakers won an NBA le? 6 years ago. That's no smack talk, that's just the plain old truth.
We've been told that we were done before, just like you're doing now. Back in 04, the in 06... this same season people were doubting we would make the playoffs...we all know how that talk panned out.
i think we are all missing the point that the rockets suck.

Yes, the Rockets are a good team but not a great team!!!
The Spur's championship window is closed.
What is happening now is almost cruel to the fans. They still don't know that the Spurs aren't good enough to win another LOB with the team they have.
These are the kind of hater posts I love. They reflect not only how scared these guys are of our team, but also how frustrating it is to them that we're so successful, while they're been condemned to second fiddle all this time.

They were defending their championship and lost in the WCF. Congratulations to the Lakers for winning the west!!
They have the 2nd best record in the west and considering that Tony and Manu have missed quite a few games this season.
It's amazing how people don't get that....seems like people think the Spurs are just above .500 and trying to get the 8th seed.
That's not case and they are one of the four teams that can win it all this year. So Spurs fans are blind...but hey don't let facts get in the way of a good purple-and-gold view of the NBA world!!
