You owe the Spurs head Javie for Pop being so graciuos about your FU.
Wow. Fourth quarter self-execution.
You owe the Spurs head Javie for Pop being so graciuos about your FU.
If the Suns lose tonight, I'll be really pissed.
Spurs lose 92-94.
in Pop. Not only does he start to give a with 2 minutes remaining, but he draws up the worst play I've ever seen for an ice-cold Horry. Tim had just hit a shot!!!!!
Bad call, but I'd expect no less from Javie. It should have been either no basket, or a replay because of a clock malfunction.
damn in shame to be so close and screw up badly. I hate these kind of crunch time ups. NOT good tuneup for the playoffs. Spurs wimped out.
Why are the bad-jump shooting Spurs shooting jumpers to win instead of taking it to the hoop?
Dang dude!! Chill out. lol
Odds are we end up w/ the #2 seed regardless of if we woulda won. Oh well. At least we cant go down a seed. I like that Duncan played quite a bit of time. Cant wait till playoffs. I like our chances, even at the 2 seed!!
Spurs clutch players never touched the ball...
but you know something?
We can't blame Horry entirely...
You have to blame POP for designing that bull play and blame the entire DEFENSE for not coming through in the last two minutes.
It's a total embarrassment for the coach to experiment with Parker being sat down and Horry given the go ahead for a possible win...
We should have 1 second on the clock. The clock started early, and Miller caught it with .4(yeah its very ironic) left on the clock. I'm appalled at how many times we have gotten a loss because of an error on the refs/staff's fault. It's ridiculous. It should be our ball. I'm not gonna let this one go very easily. Pop should have been more ascertive because there should DEFINITELY be more time. If you mess up, you either count it and give the opposing team time, or you redo the play. Simple as that. None of this "well the home crowds cheering" crap. I certainly hope the referee situation is fixed by next season because it certainly is not working this season.
Watch TWolves play loose and jump on us Wed night, we miss 60 W's, go into the playoffs on 2-game losing streak, instead of a 4-W streak. dammit dammit dammit
That was a horrible choice
What about the Big Dog??
Great game by Nazr.
8 Points
15 Rebounds
3 Blocks
Not bad............
Sean agreed with me when they threw it back to the announcers. His take was "Hey, SA didn't start the clock early" and that there should have been a replay.
i don't see the twolves puting up much of a fight considering its worth nothing.
One point to make before anyone accepts this call. MEMphis controls the clock, yes the clock started early but that's not our problem. I would love to see the rule book to see if the refs have some overruling power to declare a shot good even though time expires.
Exactly. Horry was ICE COLD, and out there you have Ginobili, who's hit SEVERAL big layups just before that, Big Dog whose been ON FIRE the WHOLE night, and our MVP WHO JUST HIT A BIG SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Bad decision. We could have won the game. I am too sick of these kind of losses. They are piling up on us (D-Fish, McGrady, and now this). Man, im so angry right now. We had complete control of that game.
Spurs have never won the le after winning 60 games. In fact, in my mind, our two most disappointing exits were the 60 win years: once vs. Houston back in the mid 90s, and last year against LA.Watch TWolves play loose and jump on us Wed night, we miss 60 W's, go into the playoffs on 2-game losing streak, instead of a 4-W streak. dammit dammit dammit
part of me is mad that we lost due to this technicality (when have you seen a ref make a decision like that?? teams like memphis have gotten screwed over something like this so many times, how ironic that they finally decide to see the err of their ways TONIGHT when its against us)
but it was the right call, no matter what
plus, we did not deserve to win this game at all after letting mike miller hit a wide open 3, then A LAYUP(!!!!!!!)
his last shot was just sick
i thought we won 60 or more in 2003
"its worth nothing"
They have nothing to lose. One last effort to a horrible season. What better W than to beat the Spurs as they head for the playoffs, spoiling the Spurs' 60W season?
