This is Spurs basketball.
perfect half and no mason to be found. perfect![]()
Spurs could've ended that quarter better but I'll definitely take the 18 point lead. Let's just hope they don't have a 3rd quarter slump.
half time lets go spurs everyone doing great except for timmy haha
TD and the rest of the bigs. Manu, Hill, Bogans and RJ did a great job
The ended the quarter with 2 very good defensive plays out of the last 3 possessions.
Personally, I thought Hairston was dominant in his 4 seconds.![]()
Hill is young, minutes should not be a concern for him. Manu has had very easy games recently (minutes wise) he'll take those 34 minutes he'll get today.
When did Hairston come in??? I didn't even notice.![]()
Ernie: Let us show all of Tim Duncan's baskets in the 1st half. *Crickets* Ok, that's all.
Hills efficiency this game is good...keep it up
Ya know Timmy . . .
Out in Miami, all sorts of things to do ... can you blame him if temptation got the best of him (in the form of World of Warcraft)?
Hopefully they don't have a meltdown in the 2nd half, this lead needs to stay in double-digits..they're gonna need all their energy tomorrow, especially Duncan, he's gonna have to have a big game tomorrow..
Happy to see the guys having fun tonight ! RJ Manu Hill are playing extremly well, I hope we will maintain the lead and save Manu and Tim's minutes.
That's what I'm saying. Pop should have planned ahead just in case this happened. Would five minutes of Mason or Hairston have killed the Spurs? I doubt it, but what it would have done is saved Ginobili's and Hill's legs a bit more and not just for the second half of this game, but for tomorrow's game where the Spurs will need every bit of energy they can muster in order to beat the Magic.
Glad to see all the losing in Minnesota hasn't dampened Stewie's spirits too much.![]()
Look, you have to plan ahead. Yes, Hill is young, but 21:28 in a half is a lot for anybody. There's no need to play that much when it's not necessary. Tomorrow it might be and that should be taken into account. As for Ginobili, same thing applies. He may be needed for 36 minutes tomorrow if the Spurs are to have a realistic shot at winning, so why play him 17:36 in this half? Remember what I said if this lead quickly evaporates in the third or even if the Spurs win, but don't have much energy for tomorrow's game.
I don't want to come across as complaining and not enjoying all of the positives going on, but I see this as a potential problem on the horizon.
Why is Manu playing so much beign up by 18 pts?
Not so far, Duncan...
This is odd Spurs basketball, mixed with good oldfashioned Spurs Baskettball (team overall, Manu) and good "new" fashioned Spurs basketball (Hill and RJ).
It´s like a really big burrito with all sort of species, you are enjoying it, but you still want to see if you can finish it to feel the victory.
I see what you did there. You.....you're good.
I don't know, it's habitual. The funny thing is, I consciously try to make my comments as brief and to the point as possible, yet they're still often long.
