Doc Rivers is sure giving Nate a lot of PT in honor of Gary Coleman.
The problem with that is that Sheed is playing Howard better than Perkins is, and while Perkins is the better rebounder it's not like he's, well, Dwight Howard in that respect. Wallace boxes out consistently, plays much better pick-and-roll defense, and the difference on the offensive end is like night and day.
KG getting trashed by NBA great Magic Johnson - ya gotta love it.
Magic knows the Celtics are gonna ass his Lakers
During game 3, he blasted Orlando for not showing up
Insecure bas![]()
Carter needs to keep following Jameer's lead and force the action a the rim rather than settling for pullups or fadeaways (which he hasn't taken in this game yet). The lane should be open if he can get around his man on a solid screen. He's made a few good passes into the paint as well rather as opposed to kicking the ball across court to a well-defended shooter as the game has gone on.
Showing WNBA commercials while the NBA playoffs are going on is like showing commercials for the Little League championship during the October classics.
Sheed is still letting Howard get deep position in the paint, though he made a nice recovery on a block. Perkins forces Dwight to play with more skill than force though I will agrees Sheed is a bit better/smarter in defending the pic-n-roll.
Why is it that the man wearing a tee shirt can look about an order of magnitude more dignified than the one wearing the suit?
I think Fisher wants to ask for Magic Johnsons phone number![]()
Do-or-die now for the Magic....will they loosen or tighten up?
tighten up
Yes, he does, but the question is where Howard wants to be. Unless he can gather and dunk, his field goal percentage doesn't seem to be notably higher at 4 feet when contested than at 7 feet. He's got hands of stone. What Rasheed gives you that Perkins does not is defending Howard's dribble-drive into the deep post, getting deflections and turnovers in the 18 to 10 foot range and burning up clock while Orlando decides whether to repost or not. And because he can guard Howard while 3-quartering him he's preventing a lot of strong-side dribble drives from Nelson and Carter, burning up yet more clock. He's anchoring Boston's defense; Perkins merely guards his man.
That last bucket by Howard should have been a travel.
As much as I think Allen is a pussy, I would love to see him on the Spurs next season. Too bad it's not gonna happen.
How could you possibly think leaving Ray Allen is a good idea, Carter?
this game is over................... the celtics...................
Why is Ray Allen's father dressed like a ?
I've mentioned earlier that Sheed has some of the best hands on the team defensively and is definitely the better overall defender historically, but Perkins limits what the Dwight himself can do offensively without needing any help most of the time or having to foul in order to get bailed out, whether Dwight faces up or tries to back him down.
Now the game begins to get out of hand.
The Magic's highest paid player continues his playoff chokery.
