After living in Lesotho for a couple of years, i have made alot of South African friends and will be cheering the team on to shock the world.

Its ironic because in the Rugby world, Australia, South Africa & New Zealand rule, but in the Soccer world they are all on he bottom looking up at the top nations

24 hours til the Mexicans tap that SA ass and start this WC off.

Gonna have to pay the $10 for mobile tv cause this has to go on during my time working. Maybe get the telemundo feed on my laptop then listen and occassionally glance in while I work.
Why not wait and watch the game replay later? Just make sure to not find out the score before.

Byu the way, I think there is an opening concert today at 2:00 pm ET

The official pre-tournament show will be headlined by Colombian pop singer Shakira, K'naan and American performers Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys and John Legend.

Opening games are usually closed without a lot of goals.

    I'd go with Mexico 1 SA 1
France 1 Uruguay 0 cauz i'm french but a more plausible one could be 0 / 0 or a win of Uruguay

I think I'm gonna pick up an external HD to plug into my HD PVR. I suddenly have the need to record every match and by crappy internal hard drive only records 20 hours of HD footage (most filled already).

Do they usually? I thought the host was always the first match.

I think last WC it was Germany vs. Costa Rica (?) where Phillip Lahm scored the first goal.

Before 2006 it used to be the defending champ

    =======================================

Hey everyone. Thought I'd send out a kinda' last call for you all. We've got some pretty strong numbers in both leagues, somewhere around 20 teams for each but the more the merrier! We're sitting just over a day away from the first kick off! You CAN join after the first game kicks off, but you won't be added into the league until the next round. I highly suggest you join in immediately if you haven't already however.

And just a reminder for everyone, here's how you can join the two leagues we have set up, and join in on our fun!

    Enter League Codes Here:
    http://en.mcdonalds.fantasy.fifa.com...ues.mc?view=cj

    Classic League: 11034-80012

    Head-To-Head League: 11034-2575

I'd like to wish everyone the best of luck in the coming month, and not just fantasy wise. Good luck to all your countries and may the best win!
