This is unsubstantiated, but the way Durant is playing is like he knows mentally he can have the "young" excuse. He is not playing like a superstar from an engagement standpoint.

Collison is playing very well and many of us have talked about the Spurs trading for him, but he has no where near the talent of Odom. But he is a great guy to have on your team.

Harden is playing so well. He is up and down all year, but he has finally shown enough talent to see why they picked him where they did. They went for "fit" when they drafted him, but he looks like a pretty damn solid talent as well.
Like all guys in his realm (J.R. Smith...) it's about growth and consistency.
I mean could you imagine Durant playing with the passion and decision making Harden is? They'd be leading this series.
