tbh, I bricked my iPhone 4 trying to update today from 1PM EST. Then about at 11PM I finally was able to go through the update servers and do a full restore then restore from a backup.

Now I'm all set, but it was far from smooth sailing this time.

Ehhhh most of the time I've heard brick used it's meant to be permanent. But yeah, lately I've been hearing it more casually used.
