And all of them were open shots. What's your point?
Would you rather the Spurs give up wide open shots to shoot contested jumpers/layups near the rim?
When is the NBA League pass going to go HD. Tired of watching grainy games.

The offense is clicking, but the defense was lacking near the end of the 2nd quarter. Overall, a good half
That's why online league pass is better. at least they're in 720i
Expecting the defense to tighten up in a quarter the offense scored 39pts![]()
We can't realistically expect Spurs to put four good defensive quarters together. The best we can hope for is one or two good defensive quarters between 15-22 points and to survive the others in the 25-30 range.
As long as our offense plays well though, that's more than enough to win. Not too many teams will hold these Spurs to under 100 pts.
I'm just saying it from a long-term prospective. Can't take what you see in this game as the norm. If they take this many 3s in the playoffs, I can't see them making it at this high of a clip.
They are 7-12 from 3, but look how many FT attempts they have,19. That shows they are doing more than just jacking up 3's. I think it's been a good mix thus far.
That was an ABA quarter, for sure. But any quarter where you outscore 'em by 9 and there are no injuries is a good quarter.
We know, that's why trading him to the Pacers was so tough.
Yeah, that's something I completely overlooked. Didn't realize they had gotten to the line that often. Good to see Duncan 7-7!
It was one quarter against the Pacers, relax...
Depends who you play. Against OKC anything under 100 would be good and a easy win. Against Chicago or Miami I'd be happy with anything under 95. Against the Lakers, 92.
In general, I'd say if we hold somebody to 95 or less and lose, it's the offense's fault. If we allow 96 or more, it's the defense's fault.
I like Green, but I think POP should make Jack,Manu and Kawhi the main 3 players at the wings. It's fine for regular season, but that's should be our 3 for playoffs.
Nah, score would be closer. Spurs have been getting a lot of wide open shots, but if they weren't getting them at a high percentage like tonight, the D wouldn't be stretched as much and the D in the paint would be tighter taking away a lot of Parker's and Manu's drives.
Paul not Hill
i think he's referring to Paul George that is![]()
Spurs from 6:30 of the second quarter on...
Parker layup
Tim and-1 from Parker
Manu 3 from Tony
Tony 6-foot bank shot
Blair layup from Tim
Kawhi 3 off deflection
Tim 2 FTs
Manu reverse from Tony
Manu turnover
Tony 1 of 2 FTs
Tim dunk from Manu
Tim shot blocked
Tony turnover
Manu bankshot
Jack travel
11 scoring possessions, 3 turnovers, 1 shot blocked. Not one shot missed and rebounded in 15 trips.
Miami scored more than 90 4 out of the 6 games against Dallas in last years finals.
We scored 98 against Miami and 89 against Chicago without Manu, Jackson or Diaw. I think we're a better offensive team now than we were when we played them.
To be fair, teams have actually won the le while allowing 100+ ppg. The 1995 Rockets, for instance. They gave up 104 ppg.
Jax on George would be a good idea
Indiana's picking it up
The problem is that, you can always relay on your defens. On offense, not so much
