I think ManCity played a of a game just to actually have a shot to win it but RM had so many chances that had they lost this it would have been a choke job.

Your take is correct. But if you think about it ManCity lost the game on their own. if they would have gotten tighter with D there's no way they would have lost that game with the kind of night Hart had before those defensive mishaps...
