Does being a deluded homer ever get tiring? I mean, really, constantly having to summon up that much hope and optimism in the face of a cold, harsh reality that says otherwise must be exhausting.

I'm sure you'll ask "does being a bitter Laker hater ever get tiring." Not really, since hating is easy, natural.

I don't know how you in' do it. Guess you're hardwired to see the silver lining, the type of guy who'd tell his fellow Holocaust victims waiting in line to be thrown into the ovens, 'Don't worry. Hitler will run out of coal soon."
lol wtf... are you on you period or something

I don't watch very many Spur games. BSPN has him listed as your 2nd string PG. Whoever the your 2nd string PG is, if y'all lost him and TP you are in the same boat.
Nope. Spurs have a bunch of guys who can step in play PG.

    Manu, Neal, De Colo.

And lol at thinking Steve Blake is any better than Duhon. Lakers fans rejoiced at the news of Blake being out. Now he's an "integral part of the Lakers." Kind of like a Spurfan saying, "Yeah, let's see how you do missing your backup power forward (during the time when Matt Bonner was in that role)."

    Distilled down, you're missing:

A 40 year old, injury prone PG who can't play defense.

    A scrub.

Lakers should be above .500. But they suck, so they're not.

    Nice nit-pick.

    And nice deflection.

    Giving up already, I see.
I asked you about him missing 20 games. Instead of admitting that he never did (with any Spur success while he was gone), you brought out that 12-4 bull . Since you said it happened in 2010, I couldn't resist reminding you who won it all that year.

racist bas . WTF does Hitler have to do with anything?

To answer your question, yes, I always see the silver lining with the Lakers. Every single year, I am the ultimate optimist. We have a talented team that is underperforming. I, just like you, don't expect that to stay the same. Even if you won't admit it publicly.
"Oh noes! Anytime somebody mentions Hitler, it must be racist." Nothing racist about the comment at. It was an extreme example to illustrate your undying optimism.

I fully expect you to stay the course of mediocrity if the Lakers don't make a trade.

Lol. Spurs beat the "champs" by 20 during that period, as well as OKC, a surging team. But no, everything was going to suddenly change for the worse once Parker missed the magic 20 game mark.

Quit trolling. I refuse to believe you're this stupid.

But you are a Lakerfan, so....

Damn, is this what it's come to now? Scratching out a 1 point win against one of the worst teams in the league at home?

at the begining of this game last night I noticed Pau was complaining to ref after there was a "no-call" on Kobe. Clearly Pau just doing this to get Kobe to like him. LOL LAKERS!

    - who said I'm expecting 6th seed? You guys are all jerking each other off because we are below 0.500, etc. I'm merely stating a fact that despite our horrendous start, we are in the mix for a playoff spot. All we have to do is get into the playoffs. Talk all the you want but I guarantee you no team will want to see us come playoff time.
Nash is 40. Still good, but 40. Gasol is gimpy and slow. Howard is nearly completely re ed. Kobe is Kobe, but somewhat gimpy in his own right and slowing down. The LA bench is fairly lame. Really, there's only a couple of other teams I'd rather play come playoff time. I would guess that LA will improve over time, but I just think the makeup of the team is not that great. I can't fathom LAL being able defeat either OKC, SA, or Memphis come playoff time. Not in a 7 game series.

Like I told another Laker doubter, Nash is 40, yes, but all we need is 10/10 from him and efficient shooting. We know he can shoot (provides spacing for our bigs), pass (leads to efficient scoring for the Lakers), and shoot 90+% from the line (closing quarters/games).

No one is stopping WB and we can only slow down KD. However, the days of WB being able to use his energy for one side of the ball (all offense). Sessions? the bed. Fisher before him? WB will have to guard him and not use all of his to blitz us.

The Lakers are not a finished product and are a work in progress. I won't make any excuses for them, but let's just say the Lakers you see right now won't be the same Lakers that everyone sees come playoff time. We got the talent to get it done. It's now a matter of them getting on the same page and establishing an iden y. I'm not afraid of OKC, SA, Memphis or Clippers tbh.

You weren't afraid of OKC last year, either. Funny enough, you used the exact same logic.

    - Lakers aren't a finished product. Brown didn't get a full training camp with the team. Once they fully grasp Brown's system and find their iden y, look out!

    You were wrong.

    - Now that we have Ramon "the Savior" Sessions, Westbrook has to work on both sides of the ball, so he won't be able to go off like he usually does.

    You were wrong.

    - Artest will slow down KD.

    You were wrong.

Bet you weren't afraid of Dallas in '11. The Celtics in '08. The Suns in '06 and '07. The Pistons in '04. The Spurs in '99 and '03.

OKC would absolutely crush the Lakers in a 7 game series. It would be a slaughter on the level of what we did to you in '99 and what you did to us in '01.
