oops
Damn, my feed is really behind based on this thread.
You see Kawhi, Taylor uses two hands! :b
I saw KL smile, but quickly extinguished![]()
it's the cats, but solid D so far
I hope they give Baynes the ball in the post at least once.
Baynes can't even make a rushed hook shot...
I thought Baynes had already 6 rebounds but only counted 4.
Baynes has more rebounds than Splitter and Diaw combined
Baynes has played a decent chunk of minutes in this game, yet I still have no opinion on him either way, nor should anybody..he hasn't received the ball at any point..he's active and getting his hands on rebounds, but missing them..he's playing against the Bobcats..
The only certainty is that he's a big-ass dude, tbh..he looks like a legit NBA 7-feet tall..
Hopefully they give him a few touches in the post to shake off any initial anxiety..playing against the worst frontcourt in the NBA(possibly NBA history) is time for experimentation..
I liked what I saw from Baynes. He will definitely help the second unit.![]()
I am hoping that Baynes can learn to roll to the basket and has hands as good as Tiago. If so, he should get looks similar to Tiago as there is no excuse not to. Want to see him in that role a little.
As long as baynes rebounds, he'll get minutes. Spurs have so many scorers, they don't need him to score points. Just rebound. As long as he doesn't make any boneheaded mistakes, 5-7 rebounds a night should keep him seeing consistent rotation minutes.
He said his bread and butter is the right handed hook shot, so don't get too worked up by a rushed left handed hook
There's no reason why Kawhi shouldn't be playing 35-40 minutes per game tbh. I love Jack as much as the next guy but i have no doubt Kawhi will beast when given more minutes.
He's a step slower than everyone else. He can't block shots. He is big and can rebound. He seems to have bad hands and no touch. Some of this could be nerves. 1st game in the NBA. That would be intimidating, even if against the lowly Bobcats.
The biggest difference between a big who gets passes (Splitter) and a big who doesn't is not just rolling, but maintaining a passing window to receive the ball. I saw a couple of times that Baynes had a nice roll but the passer just didn't have an angle to get him the ball.
keeping a close eye on the Clippers. they're battling in minnesota
