Well yeah, what I mean is Marc Gasol is gonna be the de facto best big man immediately after Duncan's retirement.
Dont play dumb to make Dwight look bad just bc he's dissing your Lakers. When Chandler averages 20 ppg and draws double teams on top of shooting 60% then you can compare him to Dwight.
This is true. You see how inefficient those "dunkers" really are when they're forced to be a nr 1 option, even Dwight this year with Kobe out sucked for the most part, big men with no post game rely on their playmakers to get them an open look or a lob, only expection in the modern era has been Shaq due to his size and strength (who needs post moves when you're 7-1 and weigh 300 pounds?), Howard is more athletic than Shaq but is smaller in size and his hook shot isn't nearly as good.
You look at some big men shoot 60-65% from the field on 8 attempts per game and wonder why they don't get more "touches", the "touches" are open shots, lobs and tip-ins, Duncan is probably the only big man left that could take 15+ shots a game and still shoot above 50%. Even a healthy Dwight in his Orlando days only got 13 shots a game, it's limited offense.
You being a dumbass I have said for weeks I would love to have him back for less than max but apparently its the only way to keep him. For,max money and years rather see him go. Except quoting stats you have not argued the validity of any of mine criticisms, just making excuses. And if the back is an issue now it won't be in years 3-5?
.
Exactly plus he gets fouled and even at his ft rate I would say a third of his points come at the line.he can't get you a hoop when you need one.
Howards offense is nowhere near as bad as Chandlers or any other bigman that relies on lobs. Again Howard demands double teams, his post moves may not be smooth or pretty but he's enough of a freak physically to were that doesn't matter. The poor closer argument is true but it was also true of Shaq and even Timmy in some yrs bc of poor FT shooting. Give him a closer like Shaq and Timmy had and be fine.
Howard does not demand a double team..He can played straight up..he's lite in the ass....only a COMPLETE re would double D12...he will brick or miss the free throw...
We never counted on TC to contribute anything at the offensive end more than some casual alley-oops and 2nd chance scores. He and Dirk completed each other perfectly and the result turned out to be excellent.
and the current style of games overall is very biased against bigman-oriented offense. get the prime Shaq in today's league and he would get pissed being fronted and hustled by monkeyballers all over the court, though he would still be able to barely manage 20+10 per game
For the most part Roguey knows his .
Give us duncan for Dwight since you love him so much, straight up. No chaser.
Killa is killin' it!
Apologies if already posted. I didn't wade through all 11 pages of this thread:

Spurs doubled and tripled him very time he caught the ball in the post.
Besides Pau, who else was anything of a threat? so no , they are going to throw 2 or 3 at Dwight, just made the game a whole lot easier.
That's not what Kool said or implied.
Does it matter? thats the truth.
Quit changing your argument. I said theres no shame in not being as good as Duncan whos a borderline Top 5 player all-time so obviously I dont think hes as good. With that said hes 37 years old, if it wasnt for sentimental reasons I would absolutely trade the 1-2 really good years Timmy has left for 5-6 of Howard.
