As I said before, things wll not change until reforms are made in the whole election and electoral process.
We have to quit electing "politicians" to make our decisions for us.
We need more of a cross section of professions, trades, and the basic "common" man/woman serving public office.
Until then, nothing is going to change, at least for the better anyway.
No use arguing about it, because that serves no useful purpose.
Until we, us, make these necessary minor changes, then nothing, absolutely nothing, major is going to change.

Ruling class? How about the demographic that has been the driving force behind the electorate since half of you entered your majority in 1975? The one that keeps in getting votes for extending your medicare and guaranteeing SS just long enough for you to get it before you die?
