Davis was a beast when healthy he only dude that was truly close to LeBron no offense to Harden or Curry this year ...
To be fair, Lebron hasn't been that great this season. He really shouldn't be considered as a MVP candidate when guys like Harden and Curry have done more for their team compared to what Lebron has done.

But they should be the favorites. They've done more for their team than Lebron and both have been better this season.

I agree with you ... but just saying Lebron is the greater player ...still. I think if you look at the whole year Harden and Curry have done more ...but when Lebron has been at his best he is still the best.

Agree with this. What's funny about this thread is how some people in this thread like DMC can joke about LeBron not having enough help, when LeBron put on his GM hat and shipped Wiggins, a future all star off for Love.

Funny how benching Love catapulted the Cavs to where they are now. 3 months ago they were 19-20 and dead in the water.

I think LeBron the GM misjudged that because nowadays he and Love basically play the same position

Now they are 49-27 and look like a lock in the NBA Finals. Atlanta

Not enough help? Laughable that's a CN made up myth. But if they fail it's on him as a GM ....he chose ALL of his current squad half by signing there the other half by trade.
ATL wont beat Lebron Only spurs and Gstate have a shot to beat Lebron.

It should be Curry. He's the best player on the best team (by far) this season.

Harden is the MVP and the award will make his inevitable playoff choke job a lot more sweet this season.

Hope Harden gets snubbed and has huge chip on his shoulder and carries a fire into the playoffs ala Hakeem

What's funny is you thinking a player has that kind of power. If Kobe can't prevent Pringles from becoming the coach of the Lakers, and Steve Nash from bilking them out of millions while he mountain climbs in Peru, Lebron can't trade a 1st overall pick.

If the Cavs have so much help, why haven't they seen a playoff game since Lebron left?

What? Kobe in his younger days had plenty of power, when he went to management and told them to pick him or Shaq. Kobe requested to be traded twice which in turn the Lakers traded for Gasol, that's power. Basically when Fredo wasn't running the show he had power. LeBron calls the plays for Blatt, that's power. You seriously don't think LeBron didn't tell Cleveland that having a deal lined up for Love was a prerequisite for him coming home?

, Pat Riley drafted Shabazz Napier in an effort to keep LeBron from leaving because LeBron mentioned he liked his game

You're assuming a lot. It's one thing for Lebron to have influence, but saying he put his GM hat on is hyperbole.

See, I just defeated your claim without a single goty smiley face.

Not assuming. It is a fact the Cavs were not willing to deal Wiggins until LeBron committed. You said players don't have that kind of power. Yes they do.

Then you don't know the definition of "assuming". You're saying Lebron made the decision then saying it was made because of Lebron, two completely different things.

You also don't know anything about cause vs correlation. They traded Wiggins because Lebron only signed a 2 year deal. Wiggins as a rookie wasn't going to make an immediate impact, but Kevin Love's stat padding would make it look like Gilbert was giving it the old college try. I believe Lebron will be gone after this 2 year deal, to a bigger market, maybe LA if Kobe goes into remission.

They were not going to trade Wiggins for Love until LeBron told them to get it done. The decision was essentially made by him, so yes he put his GM hat on. Christ. No, sorry. The trade wasn't going to get done until LeBron gave his blessing. Many people knew the trade was not worth it for Love.

Lebron didn't make the trade. He might have asked for it, but he's not the GM and didn't make the decision. It's like saying Kobe put his GM hat on and resigned himself to a 2 year, 50m dollar deal.

So many of you blame/credit these players for front office decisions. If you threaten to quit and your boss gives you a raise to keep you, you didn't put on your boss hat. You upped the ante, that's all.

LeBron's influence/decision/whatever, is why a certain Rookie of the Year/Future All Star is not on his team having more of a positive effect than Love. LeBron wanted Love there, who just happens to be on the bench in the 4th quarters. So you can't put the blame entirely on the front office. And these front office decisions are not always entirely on the front office. Not only are star players powerful, there agents are equally or more powerful. They put pressure on front offices, sometimes including threats, etc.

On another note, seems like Curry is legitimately mad at Mark Jackson for picking Harden.
