It's important to keep Aldridge involved. Sometimes it becomes the Kawhi show, which is great. But we got 2 guys who are dam near impossible to stop when they get going.

It's been bad for two years now. The existence of the Dubs, Spurs, Thunder, and Clippers helped mask last year, but with one blown-up and the other regressing it's truly noticeable now. There's only three true contenders (Cavs, Dubs, Clippers) and one pseudo-contender (Spurs) in the NBA.
Not sure if the Spurs are even a pseudo-contender. 50 wins would be great, IMHO.

Green, Lee, and Simmons singlehandedly brought the Spurs back into this. Love players that hustle and look like they love playing the game.

I hope Pau is cool with not playing much in these types of matchups. TD certainly was...
How do you characterize these "types" of matchups?

Agreed. Unlike certain bigs in our starting 5.

That was a crazy-deep three, though. It's not normal to expect guys to hit those.

    God damn that was deep.

Imagine how good Anderson would have been in those 12-14 Spurs, tbh

They're pseudo-contenders thanks to Kawhi and LMA. When you have a top 3 player in the league you have a chance, and LMA is a fine second banana. Mavs were a pseudo-contender in 2011 and managed to win because Dirk went god-mode and they had some role-players step up.

Teams that like to push the pace and play small. They've got Capella at the 5 and Anderson at the 4. But he's not a real type of 4 who is going to be in the paint and what not. He's going to make Pau play on the perimeter, and that's going to be a nightmare for him

I just wish that Simmons could get himself over the hump. I really do like rooting for him, especially.

Exactly, MFer is a Spurs killer. Only he, Gordon, and Evans would hit that shot

Even Kawhi playing something similar to a 2011 Dirk level may not be enough. This team needs more than 2-3 players showing up in the playoffs.

Yea true. He recovered somewhat quickly despite that. Just seen too many defensive lapses early on, hoping they clean it up a bit
