So yah....you likely tore a/some ligaments. Kawhi did not.A long time ago in HS, went up for a three, came down with full weight on dudes foot and rolled ankle.
Being young and stupid, went to locker room, taped it back up, went back into game. It was a tourney so played the next day too. Hurt like , but still did it. Never rehabbed it or anything. Not a macho thing, just really wanted to play. Dumb.
To this day, my ankle still looks like a grapefruit still bothers me. No support in the ligaments. If I step on a small rock the wrong way without knowing, my ankle will suddenly twist. I don't sprain it, but I'm sure it looks funny to people around me.
When I wake up, or get up from sitting for awhile, it takes a few light steps to loosen it up. Once it's warmed up though, I'm fine. Can still play ball, but I pay for it later that night.
Of course, I wasn't a million dollar athlete with the entire future of a franchise and city riding on my ankles, so nobody gave a damn.

How many times has Curry tweaked his ankle in previous years? He still played in playoff games didn't he?
I assume (am pretty sure) Curry still wears an ankle brace up to this day. Get Kawhi a good ankle brace and if he wants to, let him have a shot at playing.
Oh yeah, the twink always wears some heavy duty, custom made braces. Heard it took a lot of trial and error for him to find some that felt comfortable and didn't affect his play though. Kawhi would likely feel really unnatural in a brace but I guess it's better than him spraining it again, tbh.

I spoke to Kawhi's dad and it sounds like he's going to give his best to have a go in game three. He and Poop both know this is the season-defining game.
