Houston would still be playing if Kelvin had more than one PG
Dukies won't Ring but Scheyer needs to win today and stamp Final Four on his young resume
Houston would still be playing if Kelvin had more than one PG
This UConn team is insane. I don’t know how they even have 3 losses this year
Could be the worst call I've ever seen. Tech's best player getting kicked out less than 4 minutes into the game against #6 Houston on the road.
Ouch!
From the rules:
According to NCAA rules, a flagrant foul 2 is considered a "personal foul that involves contact with an opponent that is not only excessive but also severe (brutal, harsh, cruel) or extreme (dangerous, punishing) while the ball is live." According to the rulebook, officials should consider a number of factors when determining a flagrant foul 2, including "any contact by the offending player to the groin area of an opponent which is not clearly accidental."
And the underlined shows how the wording becomes very difficult when applied.
From the Tech coach:
After the teams broke their respective huddles following the review, Toppin was unaware he had been ejected until the officials notified him. McCasland then erupted at the officials, yelling and signaling that Toppin was passing the ball. He was assessed two technical fouls and ejected.
The underlined has nothing to do with what was called. Guys can kick out in all sorts of ways while in the air. Especially true trying to clear an area with the ball while in the air. Usually to draw fouls while shooting. Calls involving intent are very difficult, especially when the rule is worded so horribly.
Personally I believe it is somewhat natural to kick out when throwing a pass “like that” while in the air and close to the sideline. You gotta argue how do you see intent?
You got Yormark as a judge, so that’s good for Tech, possibly at a later date. Is that their last game against Houston?
I think everyone knows now it was a stupid call so nothing will happen to Toppin further. But it didn't help for this game.
I think Houston still has a trip to Lubbock coming. Would need to check
March madness around the corner...
Can’t believe Texas is actually listed by a number of pundits as first four out? How are they still being considered? it sounds like if Texas were to went out they would be in?
once again way too many teams in the playoffs. if Texas sniffs the playoffs just put the entire SEC in.
Longhorns trying to save Terry. It's not happening.
I think they will still fire him. Scraping a couple of wins together in the conference tournament doesn't change what happened to the season. They probably already made the decision unless he pulls off some kind of miracle and wins the tournament.
Bunch of gutless AAU chuckers
Good
Get rid of the loser coach and the dumbass who hired him
Duke is the only ACC team left in the round of 32.

First / second round is boring tbh
either a lower seeded team gets hot from three or the higher seeded team “out-n1ggers” the mid major. Strategy doesn’t really come into play until the second weekend.
rofl at that one generic gangly African guy for Texas tech grabbing the rim and getting called for basket interference during the alley oop attempt
50 IQ play IMO
Big game tonight, I'm thinking that one tall african american guy is going to be the key on whether they win or lose
